I made this tonight. It was so good. I made it in the crockpot. The meat melted in my mouth and the gravy was wonderful. We had it with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. I think it would be good with mushrooms in it too. Thanks for this recipe. Keep them coming.😊

When I seen the title cooking with Marie I just had to follow you. My mother’s name was Marie and everyone thought she was the best cook around. My grandpa once told her she was the only person he ever knew who makes something pretty and it still tasted good. She really was a fabulous cook, so I just have to follow you. Hi Calvin and Marie. I make this same thing (sauce) and put it over a beef roast that has been brown on top of the stove. I have been doing it for 30 plus years. If you want more gravy Calvin, add more water to it before putting it in the oven. You are right about that wonderful smell in your kitchen. Marie is so right about using REAL potatoes. NO instant if you are able.

I made this, it was delicious and my husband and mother loved it. I could only find 2 pounds of stew meat, so I added an extra gravy packet and extra can of water. I cooked it 3 1/2 hours. My oven works really good so I didn’t need more for the added ingredients. My husband and I enjoy your posts. 😊

I have made this recipe and it is very good. The second time I made it I seasoned my beef tips first, the meat needed more flavor my husband and I, and we love it.
I have this recipe on repeat at our house but I put it in a Dutch oven! We love it! I usually cook mine on 250 and about 3 hours! Mercy it’s delicious! ❤
I like this doesn't take a lot of ingredients. Looks good and easy to make. Your whole meal looks great. I will have to make this some time but will do the slow cooker method.

This is a really great recipe. We cook our Beef Tips and Gravy in the crockpot on Low for 6-8 hours. We double the gravy recipe using 2 Brown Gravy packets, 1 Onion soup packet and 2 cups of water. It makes the perfect amount of gravy and doesn't cookout. We also put a can of sliced mushrooms in it. It makes a wonderful meal and plenty for leftovers.
this dinner looks so delicious....i want to give you a little tip when making the creamed/mashed potatoes; warm up the butter and cream in the microwave for a short time to take the chill offf of them, that way you won''t cool down your potatoes....they will stay steamy warm.......
Looks great. It’s amazing a dish made with two powdered mixes (soup and gravy) wasn’t overly salty but both of you said it was delicious and I believe you! 😊 You could try adding another half cup of water at the start to yield more gravy. Thanks for sharing!

I put it in my gravy as well. Specially, my chicken gravy and that Thanksgiving my turkey gravy makes it very rich, creamy and delicious you’d like to drink it.

Looks delish! I have made this also and found it needed more gravy. I added a can of beef broth in addition to the other ingredients and there was more gravy and not quite so thick. 🥰

I made this same recipe but instead of the water u put a cup of Coke . I cooked mine in the crock pot on low for 6 to 7 hours . Sounds crazy using coke but it’s so good that coke does something . Hey friends!!! Wow, that supper looks killer good! I’m going to pass this on to my sister. I love beef 🥩 just about anyway as long as it is tender. Calvin, was wondering if you could cook the beef tips and gravy in a slow cooker. Probably have to adjust the time a bit and our foil around the top of the cooker securely then put the lid on it. 🤷 I don’t know but just wondered. Having all that steam trapped under the foil must have been what made the beef so tender. I can’t wait to try it. Marie, imo, creamed potatoes are always good. Your’s look so very good. I love carrots as well. This was a home run for me! I hope your back wasn’t hurting, Marie. I noticed you were sitting down. You two are the sweetest couple! Love to you both! ❤

This is Tuesday and as you know, and as you’ve already heard about the passing of Toby Keith, I met Toby and 93 and 94 at his fan club scene him in concert two or three times. He is a great man. He was a great man. He was an All-American, who supported us American, and our military. he truly was a good guy a good husband, a good father, a good grandfather, and a good man I’m on his loss because not because he celebrity but human I think sometimes celebrities think they’re above others but not all celebrities are like others some do have hearts and compassion. Norma, I love Toby's music and his songs but I never met him. He was dealing with a similar cancer as what I had at the same time. I was thinking that he was getting better so I was very shocked when I read this morning that he had passed away.

@@SouthernCountryLiving 1 1/2 cups of minute rice cooked one can of cream of mushroom soup one can of cream of chicken soup six chicken pieces of your choice and a packet of onion soup mix mix the rice in the cream of soup together in a 9 * 13 pan put the chicken into the rice an onion soup mix on top of it cover it with foil 300 degrees for 2 hours enjoy
