Always nice to have a stunning and personable host for the train content but also nice to see Pacific Pier! Was a nice little park when I was out there. Looks like a perfect area to rollerblade too.
@@arrowguy173 do you have a favorite spot you experienced out here? That bike and skate path goes for over 20 miles beside the sand. It’s fantastic! Thank you so much for your nice comment and for embracing the temporary train deviation.
@@WilliamAbrahams-ei2gj Thank you so much for the warm greeting - and Iove hearing where people are writing from. Thank you for the encouraging words from my native East coast.
Hi Lisa! Greetings from Massachusetts. I stay in Calabasas in the winters and I’ve been following the heat wave out there. Wow, 107 that’s hot! Anyway, stay cool if you can.
@@jerrys9226 How cool to connect with someone who lives (part of the year) in Calabasas… my beautiful neighboring town 🤗 It doesn’t feel nearly as bad as 95 with humidity in the South, so I’m all good… even Salsa dancing outside this evening 😂💃🏽🔥🎶 in Marina del Rey 🌊
@@thomasbeutel7931 thank you, Thomas. If you explore my channel, you will find that it ain’t my first rodeo filming on rollerskates.☺️🛼🤗 As in, you can literally scroll down my videos a little bit and you’ll see a short one called “Back in the Saddle” where I am on rollerskates, at the beach, on a saddle ☺️❤️👢🛼🌊❤️
G'Day Lisa from winter downunder. We are having a heat wave in winter. 95DegF + here in winter. Queensland is hot in winter and hot and humid in summer. Take care.
@@martyn1107 I recall heading to New Zealand for Christmas because it was also a lovely time to be in that part of the world / Summertime. But now at the beginning of September?! The climate has sure done some major changes in our lifetime! Nice hearing from you, Marty - I have my little kuala in my living room holding on to the stick in a little orchid ☺️
@@asdfdsa45 Yeah, as you might have gathered through these episodes, I grew up in North Carolina. I have memories of a hurricane and tornado, and the drills we would do for that in school. Definitely different terrain out here, and I’m not sure why the power was out, but I appreciate it being back on! Nice to walk into my place with the air being pumped out on a 107° day🔥
“Sorry, I’m not good filming while roller skating” Um, you have skills! I never would have noticed unless you said that. And it was fine anyway. I don’t think Spielberg or Cameron are good either at rollerfiliming either. You are in good company . Episode 3 was great. I loved how you captured so many heart felt amazing stories of the museum’s volunteer. Volunteering is a great opportunity. ❤. Stay cool.
@@Vector_QF8 thank you so much for your feedback on all the special stories from the volunteers. It was very inspiring and heartwarming to talk to people who give of themselves in that way, and to hear their stories and experience the variety of nice personalities. And, thank you! I love your term, “rollerfilming” 👍👍🛼🎬
Thanks for the video. I never made it to the beach area the few times I was in the Los Angela’s area. It was interesting to see they had that biking and skating paved area for you to use. Here on the east coast we usually have elevated boardwalks for walking, biking or roller skating. However depending on the condition of the boardwalk it may be hard to skate on. I hope you get your power back on soon. Again where I live in Pennsylvania I have only experienced a longer term power outage once. Most of the time it is only a few hours at most due to high wind storms causing a tree to fall across the power lines or a traffic accident hitting a power pole. Keep sending those great train videos.
@@johnchambers8528 I grew up in NC, so know those boardwalks well. A bit of a skating hazard on the ones I’ve been to. This path is 22 miles long, I believe… more activities going on than the quiet, relaxed vibe of the special Outer Banks experience I grew up with. But rocky, or without the bike path or houses, you can find that, too.
With No Power and No Reception. Which means people have to now go outside and enjoy instead of having their heads down on the iPhone or iPad. You might want to take a look at a Portable Power Station. I have an EcoFlow. It can run a lot of electronics and depending on which one you get it will run half or all your house. Thank you for taking us roller-skating.
@@MarkTheLostTraveler ☺️ glad you enjoyed the ride today 🛼🌞 and thanks for the advice. It’s one thing not to have power, but no reception, as well, definitely shuts a lot down and creates a bit of a vulnerable feeling. Glad to be back in business. And just as you said, I thought, “what a blessing.” the power outage got me out the door earlier than I might have, and I needed it.
😂👍👍 I did manage to dodge that pigeon. And I must say that I typically do not wear a helmet when rollerskating like that, but felt a lot better wearing one. And I always wear wrist guards. So all about some protective gear …made it home A-OK. Thanks for looking out. 🙏🏼☺️
