I just realized how many puns are in the name. No quarters. Arcade machines take quarters (look at the trailer). Quarters can be designated as areas, having none means you have no claimed area (turf war). And probably more I havent seen, great design!
Seeking no quarter is an old phrase sometimes used by pirates (and I'm sure others) meaning they went into a fight expecting not to be taken prisoner. It's a fight to the death
Yeah, what phage_shift said up there is also correct. Basically a naval warfare term used for saying no prisoners which is fitting given the nautical theming of splatoon but also the fact that this song plays during the game where you’re fighting.
@@STARglitcher3 quite a few bands are puns actually. like c-side sounding like "seaside" and also being the term for the front of the second record in a set (as far as i remember). and "front roe" being like "front row" but roe as in fish eggs. i think diss-pair speaks for itself
I wanna highlight the stripped-down moment at 1:11 when it’s really just a kick drum and Harmony’s vocals, it’s such a natural way to lead from a chorus to a second verse and it’s baffling that Splatoon hasn’t tried it before. It really helps carry the energy through, and cements this as my favorite Chirpy Chips song.
This and “Blitz it” are both my absolute FAVORITE Splatoon songs and they’re both by Chirpy Chips which is very telling 👌🏽 IMO their music just has the most hype vibes ☺️❤️
No Quarters and Slopping Spree slaps and just as good as the other four Chirpy Chips song. Chirpy Chips never fails to being that popular to the Splatoon fanbase.
Chirpy Chips previous albums in 1 & 2 sounded rather chill. In 3, especially this song, their music so chaotic while still maintaining its identity as a Chirpy Chips release and I love it. Honestly, this almost sounds like a boss fight soundtrack.
chirpy chips has gotta be the devs favorite band to make music for i mean it just sounds so fun and they keep coming back so i wouldn't be surprised if there was some favoritism
knocked out the park completely, this is defiantly the best song they ever made top 3 in the game, perfect for ranked, just pure hype and non stop energy
Target Town honestly is kind of fun once you get the hang of it. Absolutely EVIL to recommend the hardest option right off the bat… but still fun. Reminds me of that Bamboozler-on-rails level from Octo Expansion that was tough as nails but sorta helps a lot with target practice.
I understand That I play splatoon 2 ( because I’m still fir someone to get it for me ) but no matter how many ranked battles or turf war I play, I always want a Chirpy Chips song like Wave Prism ( my favorite song in splatoon 2 ) My username is ⭐️⭐️HotPot⭐️⭐️ and i’m a clear Dapple Dualies and Bloblobber player Level 41 nice to meet you😊
Im not one for making comparisons but parts of this remind me so much of Bingo Party’s remix for Sonic Team Racing, which is just as good. It was co-created with TORIENA who does a lot of chiptune stuff in case anyone is interested in something similar, her music is so good
This is probably my favorite song from this Splatoon band/group. It’s so catchy!! (Update: There were two new Splatoon 3 battle songs that just got added last night from a group called Riot Act. Will you be uploading those songs or not lol?! 😂)
as for me, for some reason it sounds like another Teralovania (idk why, but maybe creator of Teralovania made some references, but maybe just coincidence)
