I’ve been to multiple gun ranges where they tell you no rapid fire, and I just ignore the rule, and when someone comes and yells at me about it, I say that’s a stupid rule, why does it exist, and they can never tell me an answer, they just tell me to get the fuck out for not obeying and then I ask them if they support the second amendment and the shut up like a clam, and then another time I got kicked out of a range because I had my friend take a picture of me with my unloaded AR which was on safe and pointed in a safe direction with no magazine in it and they kicked me out and threatened to call the cops because I wasn’t regarding gun safety because he gun wasn’t pointed directly down range and I wasn’t aiming down the sights while holding it, i mean I was literally holding towards the ceiling, while it was unloaded, on safe, and had no magazine, and they said it was illegal for me point the barrel at the ceiling and take a picture even though me and everyone else in the range were pointing our guns at the ceiling to load the mags anyways, I just walked out of there and called them dudes, and after they kicked me out a few of the guys who I had been talking to in the range left too because they said that I didn’t do anything wrong
Chewbaca range Nazi's need to be put in their place. All they need to do is tell us where our place to shoot is take our money and tell us have a good day we don't need babysitters at the range.
I'd be asking for my money back, they say no then I get to shoot how I want you dont get to take my money and then decide to tell me after I shoot how to shoot
They have that rule because a lot of people tend to try and rapid fire and end up putting a bullet in the ceiling. If you go to a indoor range this tends to be the rule.
This is why I go to the shitty local range with no AC. It’s hot AF in the summer but they don’t give a shit how fast I shoot. I was seeing how fast I could dump 16 12-gauge shells yesterday with my dp-12.. not a peep
If they told me i couldn't rapid fire at a range i wouldn't go their anymore. Never had a problem at the one i go to. Bunch of old safety guys r cool as hell
If someone is experienced with firarms and practical shooting then they should be able to "rapid fire" because most defensave encounters are less than 5 seconds and these rules do not help people train to protect themselves

If they're going to do this for the sake of new trainees receiving instruction, then they need to at least set specific days for when they do or don't allow rapid fire so everyone at different levels can train proficiently. No rapid fire at all makes it pointless to go if you can't train at your own level. This isn't common core high school. I'm a new shooter and I would appreciate being able to have a clear dialogue with an instructor, but what about when I get to the point that I want to train with quicker succession? You have to balance it out for everyone, otherwise you're just kicking half your customers in the balls.
Lots of ranges have this rule. I understand it to some extent, but it should come down to the shooter. My range knows me and my ability and allows me to practice. That would have been slow fire. :)
3 seconds between pulls? i would never go to that range, the ranges ive been to have been 1 second, i also have a range here where i live, with special permission from owner, and release forms from the army, you can shoot their full auto guns, gonna go with my room mate who is a veteran one day
Three seconds between shots. No shit this is California. I’m in Canada, and the range near me has no rapid-fire ruling. But three seconds?!? You might as well only use bolt-action rifles at that point, because that essentially renders semi-auto firearms useless in comparison.
they don't have to but its still bullshit. How are you supposed to train with 3 second splits? You do not take your time in a self defense situation which is what the majority of range goers are there to train for.
This is stupid, 3 seconds per shot? That's a LONG time. I would really not handle that well, this really pisses me off. Bullshit range, find a new place. Also please include range name and place of the range so everybody can know where not to shoot.
