Power Stone was the shit back in the day. Had so much fun with it with some friends. We didn't have any consoles back then and only played in the gaming café and paid by the hour regardless of number of players, so we had to pick a game where as many folks could play lol (IIRC it was a 4-player game). Nice to know that the devs are taking inspiration from that game.
When I think of PvP in no rest for the wicked I think of something similar to the game we who are about to die on steam. Kind of a gladiator ring style pvp where you can get loot by killing your opponent or from a shop using gold you get for wins. Make the arena more interactive and it would be insanely fun.
I would say it's not a soulslike in its purest form, and I'm no expert, but it does have a lot of the elements that make it similar to it from my perspective. But it's fun and I personally put it into that category.
hey! been following your channel for nrftw news and I have a few questions regarding the gameplay direction that the devs are taking. if you get the chance to communicate with them again or if you know the answer already pls let me know. the game in its current state consists of running through the areas over and over again, which would not be a problem at all if it was not for the 80% mine/cut trees/open chests/digging up and 10% running from poi to poi with just 10% of actual combat. its not a traditional arpg but its still an arpg and the game felt very chore like after a few runs through the areas and I personally feel like the 80 10 10 ratio needs to be more balanced towards combat which is fantastic. long comment but I hope I got my point across! have a nice day
I think multiplayer will help out a lot with what you're talking about, because they're allowing for player trade. But there are more things on the way, more content, etc. :)
Albion online dungeons pvp would be a fantastic choice, you do dungeons and get invaded, u can complete objetives to flee, or fight to claim the oponent gear after u kill. Pvp dungeons have better loot and pve opponents hanging out
so why the most success pvp moba games in the market uses point and click mechanics in their core, if it's not good? this argue not make sense to me honestly, never been about the problem with point n click mechanics who lead to a failed pvp in another arpg, is because they never focus on develop this area of the game so much, or see that investing in this area of the game will work in some way for bring people to the game and they r right in it....(lol and dota 2 are the examples). why they r right? because even him still cant solve the problem who lead of fail of this type of pvp, WHY should I play your game's pvp when I can play dota 2 or lol, or fortnite, or valorant, or cs, or street fighter, when I want to pvp.... WHY? yeah the dev cant answer this question, so the pvp will be a fail too...
man honest criticism, your videos are hard to watch when you're reading something on screen, you flub words while reading and it makes it very annoying to follow along. sometimes you completely replace words in the written text almost entirely changing the context take your time, read it correctly and if you need to redo the take, redo the take
I love the comparisons to powerstone. I really liked the 3d fighting concept and the "super" abilities where you briefly became really powerful. Like in Destiny as well. I think that mechanic would be awesome in something like Wicked
Who in the world would give negative feedback on a message of hope? On a serious note I hope this game does well. I’d really like to see more environments that evoke a sense of mood. To me, this is the one thing D4 nailed. It’s dungeons, town, castle heals etc all have a feeling of a dark evils presence and their artwork reinforces it. Even down to the Eastern European accents.
Bro, I hope anyone can help me. I just bought an PS DualSense controller (I'm playing on PC) and wanted to start a new character on a new realm (the old ones I played were on mouse and keyboard) and the buttons that they are showing in game are Xbox buttons. I searched everywhere and can't find a solution, it seems this was a known issue even before early access, was it fixed or is it that hard to fix it yet? Might have to delay the new play-though until this is fixed 😔.
