Wicked is a gem. It's been years since I felt so connected to a game, everys single inch and aspect of the game you can fell that was made with absolute care and love. As a matter of fact, it has become my top 1 game of all time, taking this position from Bloodborne.
In the first videos of the game, in teasers, they showed a plague bear and a mutated woman, I wish I could quickly fight them and walk through the Marina forest among the nests of harpies.
Really enjoyed the video! I haven’t told anyone but I’m challenging myself to do a sprint triathlon in October. I’m in terrible shape and can’t swim well but I’m leaning into it and learning about myself.
You got this dude!!! If you haven't started training, I recommend couch to 5k as a good start for the running portion. I've done a few sprint tri's and they're awesome.
Souls-like are arpg... a type of arpg though... just like diablo like is a type of arpg... arpg isnt just what diablo games are... any game that has a skill tree, loot system, and rpg elements... borderlands and cyberpunk are arpg... wukong is morr of a souls-lite arpg.
I have 4 max level character, towns fully upgraded and all with a different build. Took the day off to play when early access dropped. I would still call myself a casual. No rest has a challenging feeling and satisfying when you over come the challenges. Black myth will be non existent in two months. Wicked will be relevant for the next couple years at least.
@McKnabbZ isometric arpgs aren't as popular as you think.. Black myth has ng+ which gives you an entirety new set of skills. Just like Elden Ring single player games all die out in 2 months and everyone comes back when DLC drops. BG3 is different because it had mod support giving people who like it new content. Bit that will eventually die out as well. Your statement is why EA keep trying to find li e service gold and GTA didn't release single player DLC.
Its funny you say Wukong is a game you play once...Ive restarted twice and cant wait to restart NG+ after i fin the game...there is literally so much to see and beating the incredible bosses quickly leaves me wanting to visit them again.
There are always games that are just worth playing more than once. I've played through Asura's Wrath on the PS3 almost once a year just for the sheer spectacle of it
Wishlisted No rest for the wicked and Ravenswatch on ps5. Cant wait for release dates. Playing black myth wukong right now and having a blast. Felt very linear in first chapter but it opens up more than i expected in later chapters
VS ? They are completely different games lol... How can you Verse them?.. Maybe do a POE or Diablo or Grim Dawn, etc. Vs NRFW... but Wukong... What are you doing?
To answer your question, I'm answering a question that was asked of me about both of these games, that should have been clear at the start of the video.
Concerning challenges, I just want to add that for me, the most important thing is to just do it, to take the first step. We sometimes fall into the trap of setting up challenges that end up being difficult and we ultimately fail, or make excuses to do next time. (This is why most New Year's resolutions fail so quickly.) Just start small, and take baby steps. Progress is progress, no matter how little or insignificant it may seem to you. Just do it, be consistent about it, and keep at it. It's just like video games: you will fail, but you will come back stronger. ❤
I agree that this game is great but why did they make the change where you can no longer equip rings of the same kind? Rather annoying. I had a build that used two silver rings for lower equip load.
I haven't played wukong, but I agree the controls for PC are checks for wicked but they do say that it's best experienced on controller when I switched to controller I had a much easier time combat wise cause it def feels like it's geared towards a controller played typed game as it stands rn.
Wukong is obviously better, but it's also released. But Wukong and Wicked are the two best games I've played this year. Wukong is a 9/10 for me, and Wicked has some way up to a 9/10 but it certainly has the potential, also to go higher
