Just have to say, thank you for actually talking us through this tutorial! So many I have watched are just music playing. Really makes it much more complicated. With both verbal & visual instruction, this has been a lot easier to complete.
I've tried twice. I'm not sure I am doing it right. My rose is so much smaller than yours and the bottom doesn't look like yours. Do you have to kind of pull the ribbon up as you go? and are you doing it very loose? It didn't look like that in the video, but mine is so small and the bottom isn't right, but I am trying to do the fold and roll you're doing. Any suggestions?
I've watched a few of these twist/roll/glue ribbon rose tutorials, and for me the hard part is not having the person facing the camera in the opposite direction. It's like trying to learn to tie your shoes from a left-handed person. Everything is backwards. I do, however appreciate your video. But still am unable to make the first rose.
Exactly. I don't think it is well understood how a proper tutorial must be for the viewer to get the right experience. However, the teacher in this tutorial provides good enough detailing to help us out.
Try the 'Ribbon Retreat' videos. It is my favorite tutorial vlog for this type of thing. The gal that does the videos is turned the same way we would be, hands up and a little to the left of the camera. I didn't realize how much I appreciated that until this comment.
i don't get how to do the folds after creating the center... i have wasted so much ribbon trying to make the roses... guess i better give up before i have to much money going in the trash.. lol :)
