As a cosmetologist I hate how incorrectly people are taking the no-shampoo movement. You should still be using shampoo and cleaning your hair and scalp, too much buildup is bad, stinky and uncomfortable. A frequent issue though is some people shampoo waaaayy to often for their hair type, texture, length, and scalp condition. For example afro texture hair really only needs shampooed one a month. Or if you have shorter straight hair with an oily scalp you might need to shampoo as often as every day or every other day. If your hair isnt getting crazy oily or smelly, you should try waiting a couple more days to shampoo. How frequently someone shampoo's their hair varies greatly for each individual person, it can be ANYWHERE between daily to monthly. But please still wash your hair AND your scalp. (The scalp is most important to focus on cause thats where the oil and buildup is)
This is validating. I started going no poo 50% because I was lazy and 50% because my natural oils made my hair look better. Then I discovered there was a subreddit dedicated to it. I also started growing my hair out and noticed that I still have to wash my hair every few weeks. I think I'll just stick with what I'm currently doing as it's pretty convenient and it helps my curls, but still the occasional cleanse.
hey!!! can you please tell me how can i stop my hair from tangling when i dry it? i always break or rip out a lot of my hair when brushing after showering… it's alright when i wash the conditioner off, but then the towel tangles my hair
@@king_james_official for curly/wavy hair you generally want to avoid brushing after a shower, using a wide tooth comb when needed. At least that is what I've heard and has been my experience with curly/wavy hair
@@J0E-RGamesdove makes a good shampoo and conditioner for men. It’s called “Dove men+care real bio-mimetic care” It’s sulphate free and uses only natural oils.
I mean mine really doesn't, but I also do shampoo once or every other week. but my gf couldn't believe I hadn't in over 2 weeks (and then promptly helped me wash it cos it was during a depressisode)
nice hair anyway, here how to make peporoni pizza --- Ingredients: Pizza dough (you can make your own or buy pre-made dough) Pizza sauce (homemade or store-bought) Mozzarella cheese, shredded Pepperoni slices (high-quality pepperoni works best) Olive oil Cornmeal or flour (for dusting) Instructions: Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to the highest temperature it can go, typically around 500°F (260°C) or higher. Make sure your pizza stone or baking sheet is inside the oven as it preheats. Prepare the Dough: If you're using pre-made dough, allow it to come to room temperature. On a lightly floured surface, stretch and shape the dough into your desired pizza shape. If you prefer a thicker crust, you can roll the dough out to be thicker. For a thinner crust, roll it out thinner. Prepare the Pizza Stone or Baking Sheet: If you're using a pizza stone, sprinkle cornmeal on the pizza peel to prevent sticking. If you're using a baking sheet, lightly grease it or use parchment paper. Assemble the Pizza: Place the stretched dough onto the prepared pizza peel or baking sheet. Brush the edges of the dough with olive oil to create a golden crust. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Arrange the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese. Bake the Pizza: Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven. If using a pizza stone, slide the pizza from the peel onto the hot stone. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Serve: Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious pepperoni pizza!
what the actual hell man anyways this is how u make fired chicken ingrediants:ChickenCut a four-pound whole chicken into pieces or purchase four pounds of breasts, drumsticks, wings, legs, and/or thighs at the grocery store. Buttermilk Acidic buttermilk tenderizes the chicken without making it too tough. Also, it helps the flour mixture stick to the chicken. Flour All-purpose flour gives the buttermilk and seasonings something to stick to, while ensuring a wonderfully crispy crust. Seasonings This crispy fried chicken recipe calls for paprika (which helps with browning), salt, and pepper. You can add more spices and seasonings to taste. Oil Vegetable oil is perfect for frying chicken because it has a high smoke poin like for the balance recipe
thats lit bro this is how you make a lasagna: 1. Cook the meat: Cook the ground meat in a skillet until browned and crumbly. Add the onion and continue cooking until it's translucent. Stir in the canned tomato products, half of the parsley, garlic, basil, 1.5 teaspoons of salt, oregano, and sugar. @@hoglinofficial
The fact no one is being mean purely because this person is conventionally attractive is insane. If my hair looks even slightly greasy I’ll get comments like “omg try showering”
Question, I've been trying to find an answer but can't, if I go no shampoo, how am I supposed to keep my hair smelling at least fine, and not like I haven't washed it in 7 days
1. comb ur hair and water it thoroughly 2. mix baking soda with water and apply to scalp. massage it in for 30secs. rinse out 3. add apple cider vinegar to a container and dip your hair in. let it sit for a few mins. rinse out you dont need to use much of either but depends how much hair you have. i have upper back length hair and i use 1-3 tablespoons of both this cleans your hair without ripping the natural oils out. i've been doing it for a few years now. my hair is the healthiest it has ever been.
Shampoo is used to get sebum off your hair! Sebum is the oil/grease we see on our hair. It’s normal and all natural and everyone has it! Each hair has the sebaceous gland which produces it. It’s a hair protectant but builds up over time which is why we use shampoo to get it out!
You said the issue with shampoo in this statement tho: shampoo strips the scalp of sebum, and over time, the scalp notices that its oils are getting routinely STOLEN. This really pisses ur scalp off, and makes it increase sebum production. The reason why shampoo fasts/breaks are used, is too 'reset' the scalp's sebum production. If you dont use shampoo for awhile, the scalp takes notice, and decreases oil production. Its very cyclical lol
Shampoos not actually bad for your hair. It’s really more on how often you shampoo, for some people it needs to be every day, for others weekly, and sometimes even monthly, it just depends. Either way, you do need to be using sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. I recommend Herbal Essences, it’s sulfate free, actually hydrating for my hair without it being oily, and it smells good.
It’s also dependent on who’s hair it is with how often you should shampoo. I have to do it every day because my hair just gets so greasy so fast and it sucks
Your problem might be because of shampooing too much. When you shampoo, your scalp is stripped of the naturally produced sebum, your scalp then sees that it's out of sebum so it produces even more sebum. So shampooing more frequently and with harsher shampoos actually make your oil problem worse. My tip to fix that would be to do what this guy is doing, 1.wash your head with water and scrub your scalp everyday, 2.detangle hair to get dead hair off if needed. 3.A kind of weird thing to do , but apply some kind of oil(I use non-smelly coconut oil if needed) to only your scalp(not your hair). This does the opposite of shampoo causing your hair to think it has too much sebum. Plus since oil is thinner than sebum, it's easier to wash off the consecutive day.
@@troygilbert69 That's not right, people at my location say the opposite. Hair type has little to do with dryness or oilyness, it depends person to person not hair type to hair type. It might be that curly hair people at your location use grease/oils on their hair periodically. That makes your scalp produce less sebum naturally.
Dude… shampoo is designed to get rid of dirt and oil from your hair, while also making your head/hair smell good. No amount of water, either cold, or cool, or lukewarm, will get rid of that oil! Especially not the combs and hair massagers. Now, shampooing too often may be an issue if you do NOT have a fairly oily scalp as I may dry out the scalp causing dandruff.
Dandruff is not dry scalp. Dry scalp is dry scalp. Dandruff is a fungus that causes flakes. Look between your toes. Do you have peeling skin? That's athletes foot. That fungus. Funguses make your skin flake and peel. Was and replace moisture with conditioner.
I tried this once and had to set up an appointment with the dermatologist so not try specially if you have dandruff wash your hair a couple days of the week and your good 😅
A great alternative for shampoo is a bit of apple cider vinegar mixed with some water cover your eyes with something and then pour the mixture over your hair do this 1-2 times. And then rinse with water and your done you dont have to use shampoo or conditioner. It's super easy and simple.
I'll be honest I've smelled people's hair that don't wash. It always smells gross. Roadkill with ketchup on it is how I would describe the rancid scalp oil smell
Those people aren’t “no shampoo”. They simply don’t wash themselves. You can still have clean and fresh smelling hair even without shampoo. For one you can substitute shampooing with only conditioner. That way you can clean off dirt or even products at the roots that are being trapped. Kinda like how you do an oil cleanse on your face. Second, you can use warm water to clean your hair after breaking off the clumped-ups either by combing or just doing it in the shower. Then use something like apple cider to give your hair a thorough rinse. I dilute mine in a bottle and just pour over my head in the shower. Last Lu, you can just reduce the shampooing to twice a week if the above methods don’t work on you for some reason.
Hey just to let yall know I haven't been using shampoo since February and it has been great my hair has never felt better but I have used the shampoo a few times because I got very dirty or if I got a haircut so yeah this video is the reason for that and also I have short hair so it might not work on longer hair and I haven't been using the products he recommended
2 years without using shampoo and my hair is fine, no oilly at all and it feels nice. The only thing you have to do is when you shower give a bit more attention to your washing.
Does it get oily easily when you touch it though? I do mess with my hair more than I should but I still don’t feel like it should be getting as oily every day though. I’m 1.5 weeks in though maybe I haven’t adjusted. Plus I might have the wrong hair type. I’m showering everyday though to keep it looking clean and volumed
Haven't shampooed my hair for over 9 months, just plain water. My hair feels better than ever, shinier, healthier, doesn't smell. Just water and a trusty towel.
For everyone that didn't know, shampoo doesn't really work unless you have skin or hair problems like extremely oily hair or dry scalp. Shampoo can in many cased cause head/hair medical problems, just use requal shower gel, the cheaper the stuff the better. (Although I'm not sure if it works the same on the ladies)
i haven’t used it in about 3-4 months the first 2 i was feeling really ill and my hair was greasy but now ive never felt better and my hair is super silky
the “no poo” movement is wild because even if shampoo was “bad” for you it’s still a better option to shampoo for a few mins and cleanse your scalp than to let the grease and grime and pollutants build up and fester on your scalp over weeks and months and choke out your hair
That's actually one of the key factors that causes alot of hair fall. And there are people that don't know how to wash the scalp properly with a schampo and have the nerve to spout bs 🤡
I can't live without shampoo my hair is extra oily naturally and i hate it so i use shampoo 3 times a week to clean my hair and i feel great after using it
Shampoo is not bad inconsideration washing your hair every single day is bad but like if you're washing it every other day perfect amazing depending on your hair type I do mine I wash my hair starting on a Monday I don't wash it on Monday I wash it on Wednesday Friday and Sunday night
What is shampoo? I use bodywash for my hair because shampo wws made for girls with long hair us men just use body wash its cheap man unless you got a woman
@@auroritiies That isnt we only use shampoo beacouse in the 30 woman used sticky stuff to style hair and they washed It off with shampoo, but in the 40 woman stopped using sticky stuff to style, shampoo was bringing about 2B dollars a year to goverment and companies so they started to say that shampoo cleans hair, but its false we have a natural oil that hair produce to clean us
@@auroritiiesnot shampooing doesn't mean not cleaning. I actually spend more time massaging my hair and scalp clean now than I did when I shampooed. It actually deludes you into thinking your hair is cleaner and you need less work to clean it.
Dermatologists have said that you should shampoo at least 2 times a week, because of the fact it strips your hair of the natural oils in it. Still, shampoo once in a while, just not super often, if you want your natural oils.
The reason people might find that their hair starts to look healthier, while having to do a lot with just doing more intentional work, also has to do with your taking the oils that would normally sit and stagnate on your scape and spreading across all your hair. So that's why it looks shiny and feels soft and you "don't need shampoo".
Ok I get what you did ! What did you do 30 days after that ? And what are you doing now? I’m interested in doing a long-term not using shampoo ! But before I do it, I’d like to know some kind of results from after the 30 days.
I have not used shampoo for 2 years Why? Because is expensive and the cheap ones are very far And the expensive has small amount of shampoo and the sheep is a lot
