Zeb Powell (pro snowboarder) once won a bowl competition barefoot. He said it was normal to him because he would go skating and cool off in the creek and then go back to skating without putting shoes on
The real moral of the story is that your ankles are way too weak from wearing ankle supportive shoes all of the time and you need to start by learning the proper form and building up your toe, foot, and ankle strength starting with barefoot walking and get better from there as your body is ready for it.
@@nabranestwistypuzzler7019 Bullshit, if your ankle twists it breaks, you can’t train your bones?? Same goes for your metatarsal bones. A lot of people don’t even wear high top sneakers, go to the skatepark a lot of skaters wear low top Vans for example. Besides that it just hurts when you ram your skateboard in the ankle, happened to me several times yesterday - the skin bursts there too!!
