Washington is known for its cherry blossoms and they just had their major blossoms and celebrations starting about a week ago and it's obvious some 🌸 blossom activities are still going on. You've hit the town just right.

Cherry blossom trees (sakura) were given to the US in 1912 from Japan. It symbolizes a new beginning and the beginning of spring. These trees are all over Japan and when in bloom they look beautiful. People have picnics under the trees and admire the beauty of the sakura. It’s a big deal in Japan.
Over the years as an aircraft mechanic, I was tasked to go down the list and refurbished and or do some sort of maintenance on every single 737 they had in the fleet throughout the country that was scheduled for regular maintenance by my crew. So I probably worked on that plane unless it's a fairly new one added to the fleet since I did that.
Adam, I moved to the DC/VA area last Dec for work. Also did you get your first visit certificate from guest relations. I was at Tuesday's game cheering the Rays. Enjoy your time in DC/VA
Adam I saw my office building as you were landing. (like on the runway) I work within walking distance of DCA in VA. Every day I'm on I walk on this path where the planes fly right over me. It's SO COOL!
@@duskbatrabbit1199 I wish I lived in that area. Lots to walk to and like I said, airplanes to watch. The office has views overlooking DC, the water, and the airport. I see lots of helicopters (all variety) fly around. That’s always really cool too. I really love my mid day walks when I’m in the office. I live in Maryland and drive on a road that looks a lot like what Adam drove on at end of vid lol.
I have notes to myself on cities(ballparks) I want to visit. There's a hotel overlooking the field , I think. Were you guys driving northbound to Philly out of DC?
I once had to pass through DC to visit family in South Carolina. I will always say that DC/Virginia traffic is the WORST! There was like a grid lock stop every two minutes.
That is outrageous especially to see a lousy team on a weekday afternoon! I'm a Yankees fan and I don't think Yankee Stadium even charges that much to park! No wonder why the stadium looked empty!
That is normal traffic for these parts. Lots of commuters and lots of cars on the roads. Too bad you got stuck in it. But, you got the authentic taste of the DMV.

Welcome to DC. The parking there is crazy. I live in MD and when I have to go to DC I hate trying to find parking. Looks like you got stuck on 295 in traffic.
Adam you will like that stadium. I have been there a couple of times to see the New York Mets play there. I live about an hour away from DC. Have fun and the weather will be cold I hope you brought something warm. ❤
I would so love to go to Washington DC. I did see the Pentagon & Washington Memorial from your plane. Capitol Building and the lovely cherry blossoms. I would love to be a tourist in Washington
I LOVE THIS ADAM…BASEBALL IS IN MY BLOOD AS MY DAD WAS A PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYER WHO TRAVELED AROUND AND PLAYED BALL.. HE QUIT HIGH SCHOOL TO DO THIS BACK IN 1940’S AND PLAYED FOR THE DOUGHBOYS, AND THE ARKANSAS TRAVELERS. LOTS OF NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS HE LEFT ME WHEN HE DIED BACK IN JUNE 2022 AT 99NYEARS OLD. HE WAS ALSO A WWII VETERAN. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO AS IT REMINDS ME SO MUCH OF MY DAD.

Buddy, you MUST learn something about the iconic cherry blossom history( hint-Japan) and visit the Tidal Basin! People plan their DC visits around the blooming of the cherry trees!The story of the cherry trees is iconic! No wonder the Japanese Ambassador is there during the blooming!

Adam works hard too. Filming and editing, rendering, and uploading a video every single day is way harder than it seems. The editing alone can take up half your day.
