Oh my gosh, this was so helpful when Sears came out to repair my washing machine and I told him about my dryer. Sears service couldn’t figure it out. Thank you so much now I have the sound back. Also, this information was not even in the manual. I am so so happy. I got my sound back. Thank you again.
Sounds logical that holding down the Cycle Signal button would turn the sound on and off. But I did not think of that when my dryer stopped making its lovely sounds. I’m happy I found this video when searching for the reason why. I like the way you explain things. Thank you!
Thank you SO MUCH!!! I am unusually happy that I figured this out (with your help of course!). It was driving me absolutely bonkers that it seemed to stop for no reason. I will thank you every day as I dry clothes! *LoL*
Thanks so much for this information. We, too, accidentally turned it off while cleaning the surface. Too bad this was not covered in the service manual.
Thank you so much . I have been going crazy trying to figure out what happened to my time on my dryer. And it does make sense so thank you I now I'm chiming away as I'm drying my clothes
Thank you, thank you!! I thought my washer was starting to die. I really appreciate this video. You saved me time and money! I couldn't find any information in the manual.Thank you so much! :) You're amazing!
I’m having filling issues with my washer and I found this video and it worked for my dryer!!!! Thank you! At least I’m not going to throw the dryer out to the curb! But this washer…it’s super frustrating. I can’t get my washer to run a full cycle after cleaning the filters and the hoses. Our clothes are barely wet and aren’t clean! Any suggestions?
I'm no washer repair expert, but I've run through this before. Try this: with new hose in the wall, drop the other end in the washer (to catch the mess). Turn on the water at the wall. If it runs, it's not the hose. If there's no water, then there's something in the plumbing. There may be another valve turned off somewhere else. Otherwise, you may find a hole in a pipe somewhere. If you cleaned the filter, it's not the hose, and there's water coming out from the washer hook up, you've got something in the washer messed up. And that's a "tear apart the washer and look for the clogged line" job. Good luck!
Thank you so much I have the same washer and dryer and when my dryer stopped.it made me feel like it was junk these are not cheap and too stop working when I keep them clean it felt like a let down.but all thing's will break down...but thank you so freakin much👍👍👍👍👍
I had the same problem w/my Kenmore Elite model. After watching your video (of many), you mentioned the word "chime". I knew that I've seen that word somewhere on my washer. Sure enough, it was on the "add a garment" button. Thanks for your help!
Occasionally the washing machine will indicate that it needs to be cleaned itself, and there is a cleaner you purchase specifically for this purpose. Maybe that would help.
Just bought this set. I was thinking about getting new 'braided' water hoses. I noticed in this video that you have the plain ol black water hoses. Do they do just fine? Anyone else use just the regular standard washer hoses? Thanks in advance!
Mine only just now started chiming, after it wouldn't complete a spin cycle and after a horrible grinding noise while washing. I was pushing all kinds of 'buttons' trying to get the machine to complete the cycle and turned on the cycle signal. Sadly, it didn't fix the washer's problem. So this will be the second service call for this two year old machine. My last Kenmore, bought used, lasted 18 years and rusted apart. This one is a Piece of Schizzle.
@@zameking no, had it unplugged for few days and someone started it and it was working again, now it’s doing it again.. an electricians was telling me they have some arc component that distributes the electricity and that they are trash idk 🤷🏻, you could try unplug for 20 mins reset the room with the power breaker. I could be entirely wrong it could be the mother board something faulty
@@own-ski6643 yeah ive been using it i just have to let it power down for atleast 10 minutes then hurry to select and press start its like a 200 dollar part the control board so im just gonna ride it out like this lol sucks
Check around the inside top rim of the wash barrel. It's all white plastic but mold can form all around there and it can form around and inside the soap dispenser. You can pull the dispenser out and look up underneath for mold and mildew. After each load we try to leave the lid open and the dispenser pulled out because these machines are prone to molding. Use bleach and Q-tips to clean it, but be careful!!
Does anyone have the end cycle with a noise that all Neighbours can hear? That is my problem today. it feels like a train passing or a jet lift off. Kenmore 600
I did a search for a video. I found this one. Maybe you will find it useful. I have not had to replace my lid lock yet. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0JjBqYihdmM.html
My parents keep somehow turning the sound off so I have to find this video again. At least they wait long enough for me to forget how to turn it back on when they manage to turn it off.
