The closest I came to this was when I was working in the movie theatre, and it was opening day for one of the Twilight movies(New Moon, or Eclipse, can't remember). It was packed, mainly with girls, and I was assigned to watch the door to the movie. The sheer joy at coming watch this piece of trash was utter torture so much so to the point that I started banging my head against the door in misery.

My 64 year old uncle and his 27 year old girlfriend had the same idea of having a child a couple of years ago..... 6 months after the baby was born she walked out in the middle of the night and went straight to another man's apartment abandoning the baby. Later on she sued him over the child's custody and he gave it to her because (and I quote him): "I don't remember raising a child was so difficult" (he already had two other kids with two different women as well by the way).

Everyone talks about how amazing it is but no one mentions that they are not much better than the other couple. Aggressive, not sincere, fixed on presenting themselves to the others, emotionally unstable. If you bring in that amount of neurotic aggressiveness in your life/relationship you will never build anything authentic. Basically, healthy people on their place would've been much more chill, not trying to show off their amazing sex or proof someone wrong. In all honesty I don't see the problem here. They are exs after all and not communicating so if I were in his place it wouldn't affect me what she was doing in the least. And if my father were single I would never begrudge him the chance to be happy or of getting a super hot girl half his age. I feel like only a terrible selfish child would get mad at that.

There's so much passive aggression in this scene and you're missing it. Let me break it down: -Ex-GF talking about being his "mom" - WTF? No sane person should think this is acceptable. -Bluntly pointing out they used to be GF/BF - like...why, just why? Oh, to imply that his dad fucks better, hence Portman stating she's having the "best sex of her life." -Making a dumb, drawn out story with bad sex jokes instead of being straight up -Non-stop giggling without regard to son's demeanor, affect, or feelings -He has every right to process his own feelings. No, it's NOT selfish to be mad. THEY made it THEIR business to aggravate HIM. Given the situation, he was very quiet and respectful. -and in case you missed it...YOU DON'T FUCK YOUR CHILD'S LOVE INTEREST. WTF? Just...don't.
