Hey y'all howdy from Saluda NC. Look brothers of the human friggin race, I'm a 60 yr old white dude that has done a whole lot in my days on this ball. I've thumbed to California,Texas, Illinois, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, florida, oh god and New York that one was crazy, so I get it. I personally just simply loved the absolute freedom that I have and had. I beleive that a man can go anywhere he wants to go in this country. We are free so do what you want to do just don't expect anything from anybody, and just treat people the way you would like to be treated and man I had a great time and I wish you guys all the best on your journey just becareful and stay straight with the law and you'll have the time of your life. Oh Gawd what a nightmare when I was a real housie with an apartment and a Prius. I felt like I was working my guts out for the landlord, the Toyota Motor Company, the utilities, the restaurants because so often it was easier to shell out $15 for a meal then cook for myself due to time constraints, etc. Thank God the 08 crash freed me from that.

I was a traveling musician for over a decade. It was a lot of fun, but the drugs/ alcohol got the best of me. I had to straighten out my health and spirit in the ICU for a few months. It feels nice having a home now, and a healthy life. The time I spent traveling was fun, but it takes a toll on your body, mind, and spirit. Thank God that traveling life lead me to Jesus Christ.
honestly, what you say seems like more of the truth to me than the glamour of this supposed freedom. i hope all these folks are doing ok, but it just seems like a very tough existence. i'm very glad that you are doing well. keep it up!
I cherish and appreciate the days of travel where I was looking for answers. Didnt know what I was looking for till I found it. But there it was laying at the end of the tracks. Closeness to The Creator. I found Islam, finding that spirituality out there, man thats a blessing right there.

That is the lifestyle I miss. I would do anything to go back to being homeless. I miss it. Im one of those 9-5ers. I was happiest when I was free. Keep on keepin on✌🏻

Travelers are the American way. Do you think your ancestors and grandpa's looked clean and neat / tidy when they were settling in this land your sitting on. Of course not. When people are not FREE the people will travel to find it. If you were FREE you wouldn't have to ride boxcars, right. You would all be first class.

Benjamin 'Zen' & the dogs came to my camp a few times for fireside chat & some flower. Travelers are always welcome we have opened our door many times on the CHI Union Station to STL Gateway line. The stop is Bloomington IL stay under rail bridge one of us will find You shortly after your steel wheel plane rolls out Stay safe out there Keep us informed of potential arrivers we have dry room for 3-4 inside & more out & a storage cap too

This was almost 5 years ago, a film maker approached us and asked if he could follow us around for a couple weeks. After shooting we were compensated $30 each.

Another point is that my tax dollars pay for their medical costs when the idiots get hurt. That is sad? Why should I pay for their stupidity?
