Low budget war short film from Finland Camera : Panasonic GH4 Lens: Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital 17mm f/1.8 Shot in 4k, downscaled to 1080p in post-production.
Well done! I thought your sound was good for this level of project. It takes a lot of work to make something like this. Most people don't realize. I salute all of you and a job well done.
Very, very good work. If you're open to criticism, I have a few points that no one has mentioned. Maybe there were reasons you chose to do things the way that you chose to do them, but here goes: Bullets don't sound like that when they whiz by. Bullets CRACK! Really loud when they fly by, unless they fell short and bounced off of the ground, then they buzz or whistle by, but it's a sharper sound than what was in your film, and it's still a very loud sound. One other thing that I noticed was that your fighters were all sort of close to each other. In real life combat, the enemy is normally very, very far away, we're talking like three hundred meters for a normal rifle to rifle battle, if you have belt fed automatic rifles, then we're talking like six hundred meter engagements. It's called standoff. Anyway, your stuff looks good! Great work. I wish I could be a part of a production of this quality at some point soon.
Really nice done. Would like to see a voice over from the director, like why you did what you did. A little goof: 02:38 Open Dust cover 02:43 Closed Dust cover
All right, flaws : excessive zoom on prop gun russians bad guys (typicall) snipers wearing weird clothes, should be more camouflage and shit I like the dialogue like "you have some cigaret left" double meaning they have to stay, that's smart people in numerical disadvantage should get somewhere under cover, especially snipers, and wait on them, where they are it just seem they are behind some trees create more waiting for the arrival of the ennemies, we know they're coming so the spectator will wait and you have to build more tension and pressure for the upcoming fight again the ennemies are bots they don't get to cover at all, reload in plain sight that's it from me for this one, that was very nice; keep it up ! By the way you might aswell add more dialogues and context if you want to have that much action, it costs very less and it builds characters to create empathy for the viewer
