Jinjervitis strikes again! Jinjer is a huge rabbit hole. All of their songs have unique influences, from metal, to rap, to reggae...my choices to start with... Teacher! Teacher!... Perennial (live at Wacken, pronounced with a V)... Who is gonna Be the One (live)... Judgemnent and Punishment... Tatiana's vocals are unparrallelled and the band is tight AF...👊🔥🔥🔥😬
Biz I'm glad you enjoyed it, The Singer is Tatiana the band is Jinjer and they have other songs that will knock your socks off. All of them are different yet great. I suggest "Teacher Teacher!" official video and "Perennial" live at Wacken 2019 to start off going down the rabbit hole.Super reaction keep up the great work!
"Pisces" is shocking and hard to process but "Perennial" (Live at Wacken) is shocking too but more enjoyable. Those who watch it usually crushes on it.
Welcome to Jinjer. Tatiana is a vocal goddess and the band's musicianship is second to none. To appreciate how good the band is, react to their live performances. I suggest "Who is gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records)
She is very talented... It took her 20 years to get this low, and to get her low range... The band is genius.. The drummer plays in like 3 different time signatures... It's a different kind of music, but she grows on you. Check out teacher teacher... please... or who's gonna be the one... All of their songs are meaningful if you pull up the lyrics.. It's crazy, but good... Great reaction... Thank you. 😊
@@watchbizmatik She gets even lower. She also has what I like to call a "banshee" scream where she gets really high. Tatiana is, imo, the best vocalist out there today. If you continue this journey, you will hear just how versatile she truly is. She sings everything from metal to reggae to 1920-30's jazz - (Beggars Dance is the jazz tune and one of my favorites). Enjoy your journey 🤙🤘🔥
Biz, Biz, Biz… it makes me so happy to see you rock the fuck out to some heavy stuff. Long time subscriber, and enjoyer of the channel, then BAM! Tool and Jinger in one day, taking it to the next level!
You opened pandoras box guy, now you gotta go down the rabbit hole. Perennial live, I speak astronomy, home back, vortex, mediator, and on the top are some of my personal faves.
It always makes my day when i find a new reaction video for Pisces, now you need to listen to Jinjer- Perennial (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019) Jinjer - Who Is Gonna Be The One (Live) Napalm records Jinjer - Judgement (& Punishment)
Just here banging my head with you😁 I recently found them out a couple of months ago and I come from listening to Spanish and hip-hop mostly so listening to a new genre is dope
Brooooo!!!! I been metal intense for 30 years and heard some hard growls. She got me like she got you! Got jinjered. Teacher teacher I think is a must or who’s gonna be the one. Love this . Much respect for you
Home Back just because of what the song is about its her screaming she wants her home back from russia why she mentions war as well her province is under russian control. WHat all of thier songs about them trying to create music in war times.
Welcome to Jinjer. You ought to check out more. "Cloud Factory official live video", "Who Is Gonna Be The One live", "Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev" and also check out Tatiana's one take vocal of "Judgement and Punishment".
I was glad you put your drink down. Too many people have soaked their keyboards. Watch "Who is gonna be the one?", live, or "Pit of Consciousness", live in Kiev.
if you love music, deal a little with Jinjer and you will notice what potential there is in this band, in every respect, including the lyrics !!!!!! many thanx for your reaction and warm greetings from germany and stay safe m yfriend
Tatiana is the very best growler in my opinion, her transitions from growl to normal are insane. She uses the "false" vocal chords to achieve the growl otherwise her actual chords would be ruined!
🔥Welcome to Jinjer! I just found your channel, great reaction Biz, subbed! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and beautiful growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics! The first time I heard Pisces last year I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wakeup alarm for the past year or so and I still love it more every time I hear it). TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂 Sorry for the very long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs! My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣 I love the story of Tatiana getting interested in learning to growl. In her own words, "I was inspired by Otep (Shamaya). When I was 15, my friend showed me a record of House of Secrets. I was like, ‘That dude - his voice is so powerful. And he said, ‘Oh come on Tatiana, that’s actually a woman!’ I was like, ‘What?’ She blew my mind. That was the time, the moment when I realized I wanted to shock people just like her. I just had the feeling or the intuition, like an extra sense that this is what I’m made to do.” The four current members have essentially no musical training except for Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. They've been a tour heavy band, on the road almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020, hard work that has made them fantastic live and they make it look effortless. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the newest album Wallflowers, first four videos are out for Vortex, Mediator, Wallflower and Disclosure! Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine in 2009 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see former Jinjer guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, on guitar in older Jinjer videos, and acting as an interrogator in their latest video, Disclosure! One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines her beautiful growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander, Dip A Sail and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that might do well together in one reaction). I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Note that because Jinjer has so many great official videos and so many astounding live performance videos, no Jinjer fan will ever mind if you react to a second video for a Jinjer song you've already heard, so whichever songs you choose, whatever pace you like: hope you'll keep trying more Jinjer and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘
Many bands can't presently do what Jinjer does. This here was their de facto "color-by-numbers" level track. It's beautiful but RELATIVELY simple. But listen again and you can see world-class craft from every member of the band and they make it look easy. Their latest is Disclosure! and it bangs, but if you want the wild thrills, chills, and spills like this one, I recommend Vortex or Home Back. Jinjer doesn't have a single bad song.
YAY YOU FINALLY GOT TO TATIANA!❤😂😂 YOU GOTTA DO PERINNEAL LIVE WHERE SHE'S IN A GOLD JUMPSUIT. THEN DO JUDGEMENT AND PUNISHMENT 👉 THE LIVE ONE TAKE VOCAL
Great reacti to a great band.. Love watching reactions to this song. Your timing was perfect when you took the drink. Another reactor was drinking when Tatiana switched and he spewed water all over the place.
YES! Finally! I was never a fan of this type of music until I found Jinjer! I used to think it was just a bunch of no talent screaming. And then I began the research and learning. To do what she does at that level takes years of practice and discipline. She uses her vocal cords for her cleans and her false folds for her growls. Her transitions are flawless! Honestly you can't go wrong with anything you choose to listen to from Jinjer! They're all badass!
Multiple Vocal coach reaction videos out here to this and other Jinjer songs. Worth checking out as they get in to some of the mechanics around being able to sing like this.
I love their newer song “Vortex” she’s got some very impressive screams and growls in that song. You can say that about pretty much everything they’ve done though lol.
I can't add anything to what they Jinjer troops have already said. But I will add this> if you'd like to see a large uptick in subs and traffic, go down that Jinjer rabbit hole, but add Tool and Nightwish to your track. You won't regret it if you're truly trying to mix it up. You'll see more talent in those bands than most others combined. For example: I'm sub'ing to you simply for doing this video. For bands like this, it's that easy. I'll add one more thing: You will never find a tribe more welcoming than the metal tribe.
Thay random as hell for me less insane because I grew up listening to Otep same and Tatiana and Archenemy as well, also one of the prides of Canada is The Agonist another female lead band that is all growl. They better at it then men female growls are preffered for most metalheads they are better at it stright up. Cleaner Clearer sound theyhave better ability to enunciate better.
they're a Ukranian band. and Tatianna barely speaks english, yet, she sings english WAY better than Celine Dion ever could. now for another female to blow your mind ...Tina S.: Moonlight Sonata ...her guitar playing is off the charts. especially considering she made that video when she was 15 or 16yrs old at the time
