That’s actually really true! Many people who do these animatics can draw Henry, but they decide to include the dumb portraits of the real life version instead in most cases or they barely include him (probably for the reasons you listed). I like that artistic take, but I also ADORE this one. I think it’s also because Catherine had no fear of execution due to her royal heritage and ties with Spain and Austria (if Henry dared to execute her he’d be in war. Understand that the people of that time thought that Catherine had an even greater claim to the throne than Henry himself, so even the people of England would rise up against him) so that’s also why she has absolutely no fears of shoving him around as opposed to the other queens. I do understand why Six doesn’t show Henry in the actual show since it’s supposed to focus and empower the queens, and that leaks into the animatics too, but it truly is refreshing to see him featured so much in this animatic, as I didn’t expect it

I can imagine god just sitting there listening calmly while henry looks up going 'help me god' and judge god looks at him like 'don't drag me into this, you dug the hole'

The thing to remember about these songs is that they are sung from the perspective of each wife and is biased in their favor. So to Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn did seem like a seductress that was trying to take her husband from her. She was fighting to keep her marriage in tact and for the legitimacy of her daughter, she wouldn’t care if Anne Boleyn respected her because to her it looked like Anne was trying to take it all away from her. Henry may have been looking at options to get out of his marriage to Catherine before he met Anne, but him meeting Anne was when he actually started to take action towards it so I wouldn’t blame Catherine if it looked like him meeting Anne and falling for her was to blame for Henry really wanting their marriage annulled.

Well it’s hard to be sour about something of this quality!
