The only thing that took the sting out of tonights outcome was the Leafs and Oilers losing. I wasn't prepared to see such a horrid display in the last 2 periods. Brutal.
Horribly blown game but at least they picked up a single. It's the first game the team has really played together and it showed defensively and systematically. Will be ok, G1.
As coach said it's one game of we play like that 3-5 games ina row there's a big issue but it's one game. The good: team doesn't give up even after blowing a lead saw this last year and in the playoffs and it's great to see you need that never quit never cry never give up and this group seems to have it, Brock and JT and Quinn all looking great couldn't be happier with those three Jake looks to be settling in decently as well, and finally the PP is going that was a huge issue again this is only one game but as a fan you love to see that attitude and play to the buzzer even though they seemed to coast the second and first half of the third. The bad petty and Arty not looking good Arty needs better numbers again hasn't had even half a season with playoffs and regular season so need to see but the numbers don't look great as of right now, petty looking soft again getting pushed around he had moments of greatness but needs to be much more consistent again this is one game once Demko, Daks and Suter are back too this team could look a lot different getting Calgary all worked up with no Daks to play Sherif for the boys probably isn't the easiest way to play either not that the hit was dirty or that JT did a bad job in the fight I think with Daks the boys especially JT might have got to play more hockey and I think that fight dispite being a draw gave Calgary momentum they were like okay that's finished now let's play hockey and it worked. No reason to sound the alarms yet sucks we lost but as a fan a true fan of the game when there's 2 Gordie Howe hatricks and 2 comebacks in the same game and OT how can you really complain this is entertainment at the end of the day and that game was ENTERTAINING!!
Canucks sat on their laurels after 4-1 & they played a defensive shell as if they won. "Ass-u-me" makes an Ass out of U & Me, and therefore, they were sorely mistaken & I hope they learn from this. At least Vancouver got 1 point from this, whereas Edmonton & Toronto lost & got zero points!
13 blocked shots says it all. Majority of those goal came out from blue line. It says. Canucks are not doing enough to sacrifice bodies to stop a shot.
@marland9343 yeah, I think Toc jumped the gun on mixing the lines...too early in the season for that kind of treatment. He should have shown a bit of confidence in his lines and let the players figure out a way to undo the mess they put themselves in.
@@remimk The dude had an .898 save percentage during the playoff run and people act like he’s the second coming of Demko just because we won those games. He’s a fine backup, and he’s young, but this whole summer I’ve been telling people to chill on the Silovs hype. I’m an Arturs Silovs truther
The team stopped playing. You can't fault silovs for the team not defending. Just look at block shots. 13 for van and 21 for calgary. That speaks volumes on how well canucks played in front of their goalie. No one wanted to sacrifice their body to stop a puck. No one wanted to challenge shots .
@@TheBlazersfan22 All I ever hear is excuses for this guy. He plays well, he’s amazing. He plays poorly it’s the teams fault. His numbers are terrible and the eye test doesn’t help much either
6 block shots in 1st . 6 in 2nd and 0 in 3rd. Where majority of calgary comeback started happening. Now tell. Me how is it silovs fault for right blocker side top shelf goals ..when you got 0 block shots in the 3rd. When no one wanted to challenge their dmen on those open shots. All the time in the world to pick a corner from blue line. We was 5 on 5 also. Silovs ain't like demko, but God dang I would be pist at our team. If you get paid millions of dollars , and you aint pressuring their defence. So they are forced to pass it or shoot it at your forward . Who should be at the top challenging their defenceman.
