Going back and watching this 3 years later, it still stands out as one of my favorites from the "Reborn" year. Both these guys have changed so much since then. I'd love to see Eddie come back and see him and Nakajima throw down again. Maybe NOAH can get Eddie back for the N1 in the future!
Just rewatching this now in 2020. Back in 2017, I was so focused on how good these two were in the ring that I didn't notice some of the funniest ref reactions I've ever seen lol
I really respect NOAH's presentation when it comes to its product. New Japan doesn't use alot of lights during their workers' entrances in smaller venues, but it really shows the importance of their main eventers. Plus with Jado as the boss and booker of NOAH, its really given gaijin a chance to be successful in Japan.
Any time I watch an Eddie edwards match I'm just surprised he's not dead. I haven't watched him much in impact but be seems to have a hardcore persona now and I can't begin to imagine the shit he's put himself there
Can anyone translate what Marufuji says after the match? "Eddie I know you don't speak japanese but listen something... tag belts..."? (Yes i get the gist of it that he becomes the challenger for Eddies 1.st title defence.) Loved Eddies tribute to Misawa!
Any chance you could show the full matches of Brian Cage vs Nakajima and Brian Cage vs Go Shiozaki. It would be really appreciated. Thanks for your posts!
