The stories of Noah’s Ark and the Tower of Babel are often taught separately, but these two stories are very connected and to understand one, you need to understand the other. There is so much more to the story of Noah's Ark and so much more to the story of the Tower of Babel. Many people don't realize that the Tower of Babel occurs just 80 years after the flood. These individuals were heavily influenced by what God had just done. They were also influenced by the stories of the City of Enoch for not that long ago. As such, they wanted all the benefits of righteous living while being wicked. They wanted the benefits of the temple without qualifying for the priesthood. What we get are two stories, one that shows the right way to follow God and be saved and one way to be cursed by God.
