that's not funny to say joke or not you don't know how many people would do it if someone said that to them. its rude and disrespectful, this is social media everyone can see your comment. delete your comment before security service sees this comments, you could get into problems by offending someone and harassing them on social media.
And you took them with a digital camera and then transfer to the pc via usb, no cellphone with front camera, icloud, air drop, kies air and shit like that
Adil Rashid Adil Rashid you’re right, the Simpsons bit was a reference to this exact video. And yes I think Noah was the very first to do it; I remember seeing it on many forums at the time.
This guy, along with ClickFlashWhirr (who has removed her videos/projects) is the inspiration for mine. The concept of taking a photo every day isn't a new one, there are different methods, such as focused eyes, some with shoulders, some with changing backgrounds, others fixed :). I made my own interpretation based off on another persons work :). My photo project is no better or worse, it's just a different story told with my spin :). I'm sure that someone else has made a project before this too, about four years ago, I remember stumbling across a man who took a photo over a few decades - I can't find it anywhere. A middle aged asian man :). In recent years, I've discovered a few more popping up, though only one with a time longer than 10 years apart from Noah. More and more people are starting these, but few (that have posted) are longer than 5. It's going to be scary in a decade to see more of these popping up across the web. These projects are fantastic, terrifying, upsetting, daunting and haunting. We see ourselves age, we see through the eyes exactly what life can do to us, for better and for worse :(. A big well done to Noah, especially now he's reached the decade mark and a further thank you as one of my major inspirations
Seeing videos like this makes life feel shorter than it is. A few weeks ago I changed my harddrive for an SSD and found out, that it only took about a quarter of an hour to transfer all my data of fiveteen years (all my documents, all my pics, all my videos - everything) to the SSD. But while watching this extremely fast process, I thought: life is much more than this...
I remember seeing this as one of my first videos watched on this site. To me, this has reached godly status. Carly Comando is still present on my music playlist.
Still the best and original piece of modern art I have ever seen. I watch this from time to time even now. It makes me recall my life and remember that age, being there, what happened, when, how. Its just a magical video and the music is perfect
What is truly depressing, is that I remember viewing this video when it featured on YT's home page back in 2006. Over 8 and a half years later, and feels like barely 2...
Photos are in order by the date and if you put them in sony vegas, they stay that way, so if you put all of them in sony vegas, they'll still be in order on the timelane.
Well I have been taking a photo of myself everyday for about A year and a bit now..... It really takes less than 1 minute if you add your photo to the video a day at a time. I am using iMovie maker so it's real quick and easy instead of leaving it all to the end......
***** Well I have been taking my photos using photo booth... so when I want to drag all my photos in at once for some strange reason the photos from the Photo Booth file are not in order according to date but rather in order of what DAY it is......plus I understand that adding them individually sounds long but the way I do it is, as soon as I take the picture I immediately put that picture onto iMovie and it takes less than 1 Minuete :)
joel carvalho when you came to life you already have a foot on the tomb ,and when you die . you have two but what matters is what you will do in your life ,i lost already one third of my life"if i will live to the 70 th " in study , the rest is in the unknown , when i see the guy in the video and how he became sad in the end . i fear to became sad in the end of my life
I can't unsee this dude in my head it's like he's supposed to be a well known celebrity of an iconic imagery , symbolizing the true definition of depression or something
I remember watching this in 2007 and wanting to do it myself. I lasted 2 days because I forgot to take a picture on the third day and gave up after that. If I had continued it would have been 14 years.
It's never too late to start. I lasted 4 days in 2013 and kept it on "indefinite pause" due to laziness. It was seeing Noah's 20 year video that made me start over in 2020, this time for real. I'll be taking my 500th picture two days from now. I may have wasted 7 years procrastinating, but there's still so much future ahead to make up for it.
Although this video doesnt really prove my point bc all the pics were mainly taken in the same place, I think its interesting how our surroundings are always changing, people in our lives come and go, but we stay the same person through the whole thing. In the end, the person you spend the most time with is yourself
This is were it all started. Already one of the most remarkable works in the internet world. Call it art, a project, anything. Take whatever meaning you get from this it is nonetheless powerful.
You can literally see the life in him start to die in those 6 years. he started out as somebody who found everything great to somebody who is sad and ponders about everything with an empty and cold life. You can see the literal eye bags get darker and darker as you go further.
Someone please reply to this comment in 10 years or something. I want to see if how much I’ve succeeded/failed in my goals of becoming an entrepreneur. if i don’t reply in 10 years, i might be dead. Or Im not using this account by then idk lol. I have an idea just now. I’ll add some things that are gen-zerers use right now to see how much the use of them fade within the next some years. First of all, people like to use the 💀 emoji after something funny. For example “bro really thought he could get away with that💀” Also, people use this 👁👄👁. I’d assume people will still use that, as its been in use for a while and is still relevant. Next, there are some meme videos where they do thing that might be considered unfunny in the future idk. Anyways, ye pls reply if u see this 10 years later :)
Though time may take it’s toll It is best to let it roll For just as the olden ships lay stale When there is no wind in their sail So too would life be dull Should time stop and go null
