@Siłerka We accept risks without our consent all the time. We have literally sent people off to war to die, multiple times, without their consent. The idea that people should be able to consent to any risk is a literal impossibility in any working society. But more to the point, if you think the risks of the vaccines are anywhere near the risks of NOT having the vaccines, you've been consuming a bunch of propaganda instead of listening to actual experts who know what they're talking about. Everybody I know has had multiple Covid shots, none of them have had any serious negative consequences, and when a few people I've known did then get Covid -including me - it was mild as a result. That matches what the data experts and serious scientists have been telling us. It's amazing to me what people can be persuaded to believe, flat Earth, a man in the sky watching literally everything all the time, all the crap coming out of Russia, Democrats eating human babies, what an absolute cornucopia of bullshit.

Just wanted to bring up a few points regarding this interview because i noticed the same issues in some of your questions with Andrew Bustamante. First of all, I absolutely love all your podcasts and your interviewing questions are absolutely stunning most of the time. The amount of preparation you put into your questions is inspiring. When considering political matters, it's often irrelevant to talk about things like who is to blame, is putin a dictator/psychotic/evil, did putin fail to conquer the hearts and minds of the world etc... Politics is about interests so it should be seen with that lens. Most of the times, about money, very often about resources. The questions should be more about which interest is served by this action, what is the end goal of this policy or this war, etc.. Lastly, I was hoping to ask if you'd consider a podcast that mentions the war in Yemen, which has been a unilateral slaughter by the west and saudis. Thank you for your consideration and again, I'm a huge fan of yours.
@hammedmousavi2297
@hammedmousavi2297 Год назад
I guess what is equally relevant is questions about human psychology. I would say a political leader's state of mind affects the decisions he makes. A very fundamental question is whether individuals who make such decisions as leaders are 'bad apples' or are there certain political, social situations that make individuals act in evil ways. Not to mention people who obey such orders or fall prey to brainwashing. As to Yemen, a lot of other countries (such as my own country of origin) are involved in the commitment of atrocities there.

It is also about Human things like Pride, Humiliation, Grandiosity, Legacy etc so it is not only about money, Putin maybe right now richest man on the world but he doesn't care about that he uses money to control people and he uses the money for Power. Human beings are the most vain species in the entire universe, most people will chose Pride and Respect instead of money hence you see in country after country the poor will repeatedly vote against their own interest because they feel disrespected when they feel powerless you can see poor giving power to people like Jair Messias Bolsonaro, Modi, Trump etc who are completely corrupt and would be against their self interest if it was only about money but these people give them something else they give them feeling of respect, power over other enemies (those who look down on them). Hell we are apes, even an ape would go violent and kill it's owner if it thinks it's been disrespected even though owners feed it constantly, there are experiments on that. Putin is no different he is thinking about his legacy he want to be immortal a great leader, money is secondary to that. The CCP gains it's power because it constantly tells people in China that they have been humiliated over centuries by the west by Japan and CCP has promised to get revenge for that humiliation so the people of China will accept anything to get that revenge hence they keep CCP in power. Germany felt humiliated after world war 1 that is how Hitler rose to power, money maybe involved my dude but in the end Humans want status, importance, respect and Pride more.

lol not quite how i would’ve phrased it but i think i resonate with something of the sentiment. I disagree with him on some very fundamental stuff, and I think he's overly critical, pessimistic. I think for all his intellect he fails to embrace certain elements that simply define the way nature works, the way humans evolved, the way society inevitably must function. I think it results in a bit of arrogance or hypocrisy, in which he pretends there is a better alternative without really detailing how to pursue one in a realistic manner. I think he focuses on the negative of today's age and utterly ignores the positives, which empathy and an accurate understanding of the immense difficulty of human history would bring into glaring light. I think there's a sort of 'pseudo-spiritual' or 'moralistic' ideology running through the foundation of his thought which is quite rigidly unrealistic and idealistic. He expects the universe to be other than it is, and its laws to produce completely different outcomes.

I was wrong, Noam sent an Email back and reciprocated the kind words and told me to keep searching for truth and wisdom. You make a read of peoples hearts and measure them with yours, always properly. Keep your mind calm like the finger lakes waters and your spirit ever strong. We are all with you along the way. If I have any blessings to send, I certainly send them your way. Keep wary of the memories you receive from experiencing war. They are lessons many people today don’t learn, and although it is a burden to hold, it is the reality of things. Take care my friend.

40:30 Noam is so right about how things started changing drastically in the late 70's early 80's. In 1978 I was 13 living off a highway in Independence Missouri. All that was on a mile stretch of highway by our house was a small quik mart convenience store. As 1978 went by I saw an explosion of fast food places being built. Hardees, Wendy's, 7-11, Quick Trip, Pizza Hut and a couple of others all within half a mile of each other. A year earlier I had been living in a very small town of 12,000 people and the next year in a much bigger city and literally saw the conversion of locally owned stores to franchise stores in the blink of an eye. 30 years later I saw documentary footage of once Chess champion turned crazy person Bobby Fischer walk around aimlessly in 1978, you can see all the myriad of franchise food places being built in the background. At the time all these shiny new stores seemed fantastic but ultimately it looks like it was the beginning of a nightmare..and I'm just talking fast food joints.

I still don't understand him, listened alot in my teens (in the 2000s) and thought he was a libertarian, but then he went full commie during the lockdowns so I'm not sure he even knows his intent anymore

Chomsky called for the starving to death of the un va x xed until they obey the mandates. He was clear about having them die or obey. He seems like a real psychopath . You don't have to struggle too hard really to understand him do you?

@@JamesOGant George Carlin has an album focusing on fear of viruses. he jokes that he never washes his hands and he calls people p**sies for being so paranoid. he would've truly hated this age.
