It's been seeral years now, and still think Zeinab Badawi doesn't pay attention to what the Laureatues are saying. When camera focus on her, while getting and answer, she's constantly looking at her notes, like checking boxes about what she needed to say and what comes next, very little engagement. Also I don't mind editing these videos short, but please, have a longer conversation, as much as the Laureates feel (say 2 hrs), and later just make a less than an 1hr video!

Every year she irritatingly asks about application stuff. And every year the laureates answer that they do fundamental science, without any thought of application. Science doesn't necessarily need an application ! Why doesn't she understand??!

Nice initiative. I'd suggest in the coming years you get Science based popular writers or journalists to moderate . Zain seems to rush these great minds as if it's a movie interview! We need people who can actually break down these issues more fundamentally also providing a broader perspective. I wouldn't mind someone like Lawrence Krauss, Neil Degrasee Tyson, Lisa Randall or other popular scienc writers

Some of the worst consequences of Brexit will be in the sphere of science. To that extent Brexit is a fit subject for scientists to discuss because it will directly impact the sciences. You could justifiably say that Brexit is not only political and an attempt to characterise Brexit as only political means gagging scientists. So I found your remark more telling about you than your remark was telling about her.

I believe as quoted by many whom i knew that one of major difference between Laureates and other is Laureates have freedom and time with no such interruption in life, where other who may achieve beyond struggle on daily base to move ahead and face daily opposite sides, if we put this in a small scale urban example and define the overall life cycle not all subject define the same input and output within the question whom and why which define underline in-between

Kristine to answer your question you cute btw. In my relative mind. Don’t worry about how that makes you feel it makes me happy lol how do you react to that. People are unwillingly going against factual evidence in 2016 to present day for a number of possible reasons maybe infinite. No one can honesty really understand someone else’s mind. But taking a number of general views and understanding That in the past the same has gone on like Galileo. People went against the idea that the earth wasn’t the center of the “universe” or our solar system because they weren’t informed. They needed evidence to prove it right and to reach a scientific consensus. By time and by people who are associated with pop earth culture. They have the greatest influence on young minds who then grow up to see factual evidence. So now with the internet. False words and phrases can be shown to someone with no understanding or it could connect or stem from a view they believe will never lie to them. Which is a lie. Like religion._. That’s one of my awnsers. I could come up with an infinite amount of them if you have the time 🌎🧙🏽‍♂️🧿

I think people hate the fact that the host is black. They are not aware of this but it's an innate disgust they have. Like how would you expect the topics to be deeper than they already are in this discussion? How long would it take? If you want deeper indulgence, grab a book and study. This is media not a lecture class. Great work Zeina Bidawi... P.S. Also notice how the talk has many scenes cut off for the sake of time I presume. So don't go around saying she is a bad host. Even the Laureates would be disappointed of your view. I noticed a different host last year and that's ok too, no need to compare and shame. Amazing minds in one room 👏👏

Thanks for your kind presentation. May I help those who are commenting and watching this, what are Nobel minds??? It may help the watchers as they may be interested to share Nobel ideas or they might be nobels and didn't realize. We are are born with instinct to take or possess or do something and expect to be paid but special people are those who have the ability to give without waiting to be paid. That's the start of nobel mind. Which can easily be done to those around you, starting from family, friends, colleagues etc Very simple to start the idea Wish you all the best of luck Stay home Stay safe to save others That's a nobel act
