We can already see how "passionate" are they about their field's , I believe that is the main reason why they went so far to Nobel prize.

Why not have a assembly of such minds as utmost think tanks in guiding our politics.?
@SyenPie
@SyenPie 3 года назад
It's almost a complete juxtaposition. These great minds don't chase after fame or recognition but pursue progress for the sake of progress. They uphold intellectual honesty to the highest degree aggressively trying to disprove their own ideas until they fail to do so. They do this because it is fun, for the joy and passion of discovery itself. Meanwhile, I could hardly say politics is even remotely close to intellectual honesty or altruistic goals, it's a shame that such virtues are only a "weakness" in politics and winning elections.
@TrollProductionsMC
@TrollProductionsMC 2 года назад
Our politic system is broken and it's a system which once in place can't be fixed as the politicians are the only ones who can change it but they won't shoot themselves in the foot all at once.
@davledav
@davledav 2 года назад
@@SyenPie If anything I believe the domain of politics can never truly be claimed by the clear scientific mind. By definition, the political arena is an extension of the public mind, where ideas however wrong, stretched out, or malicious they can be are reflected and therefore necessitate a constant balancing act in order to achieve favorable outcomes that in theory exist mainly in the objective and empirical truth. Yet, it would be immature to expect society to operate as one mind towards the pursuit of the scientifically backed truth as not all have devoted their life or day-to-day thinking to this endeavor. As such, to propose the possibility of a scientifically led political world, you would need a scientifically led societal mind - which isn't so far from the truth in most advanced societies but loses its worth when generally accepted notions conflict with popular beliefs. Now, I think it is more favorable to align the chaotic nature of the political, and by extension - of the human psyche- in a direction that favors empirical evidence and honest intellectual progress. If you use the tools that are nowadays employed to create such chaos to make good, maybe there is room for positive change to occur. What are such tools, I have yet to meditate enough on it to give a clear tentative answer but one thought experiment I am going through at the moment is the possibility of using competitive-based frameworks to motivate international policy coordination in pandemic responses.

Great to see such human achievements in such nourshing environments!But always ask why Nobel prizes are given to people working in the Weast? Always ask what happen to other part of the worlds ,where there is too much intellegence,energy ,and creativity do not get these prizes.How much are we losing as a whole population connected .Ask why? And how to help the other scientists who did have great civilizations in the past.We have to be fair ,just and humble to remember others who live in other parts of our small planet,abused,and used by their toxic environment from inside and outside to divide and rule ,also unjust wars and interference.Thank you ,to show how few can do,imagine if more can do.

Amazing minds agree that one of the biggest challenges to tackle humankind's problems is the way in which governments (aka politics) works. Especially, when it comes to funding research. It is a worrisome irony that Political Science, and other social sciences, hold no relevance for the Nobel Prize committee.
@TrollProductionsMC
@TrollProductionsMC 2 года назад
The difference between scientists like the ones on here and politicians is in science you need to be intelligent while in politics the less intelligent you are the better, just being a good talker is all you need. The more intelligent you are the less capable you will be to convince masses into believing the amount of lies you have to tell, at some point the politicians even start believing their own lies.
