Hi Amy. So nice to see you again. I love the way your socks turned out with the colors opposite and your son’s cowl is so much fun. It will be a great hat too.
Thanks Amy. I love to watch your podcasts. You always inspire me in such a calm and joyful way. I also love knitting, especially for my grandkids, 3 boys and a girl, with another new babyboy on the way. Jennie, near Cape Town, South Africa.
Thank you for the details on the cowl. I have been looking for a simple close fitting practical one for my cold MN winters. The addition between the colors is really eye catching.
Hi Amy. Love seeing your projects as they often inspire me to make one. Lately I've been enjoying crocheting 2 throws, The Lotus Flower blanket which is a free pattern and I'm still enjoyed the Ripple Baby Blanket (I thinks that's it) after seeing the ones you made. I'm not a very fast crocheter but thankfully both of these patterns are easy and memorizable. I hope your yarn for your shawl arrives quickly and you can finish up the last of your Make 9 board. Have a great couple of weeks.
Correction. I meant 22 inch circumference. I was automatically dividing side to side to get a mental not of width. Sorry about that. It says ten inches tall, but I like the height you made.
Question: I looked up the cowl pattern. I really like how snug yours fits. The pattern calls for about an 11 inch circumference. Is that what you did? Length? I hater to bother you with questions because I know how busy you must be with your family, but yours has the best practical fit I have seen. Thank you.
Very pretty items. I was wondering how you make socks to gift. How do you know how many stitches you need for the width of the foot? I would like to make some socks to gift. But i haven't heard anyone explain how they come up with the stitch count for people they gift too, that they can't measure. Thank you for your help and lovely pod cast😁
I’ve only ever gifted socks when I know their shoe size. If you know their shoe size, then you have an idea of how long their socks need to be. You can find charts online that give specifics for foot measurements according to shoe size. I hope that helps. 💓
Another great podcast! The feather in the opening video - what bird was that from? I also wondered if sometime between now & the end of the year could you devote a bit of time to the Make 9 process that you do for each year. How do you set it up for yourself?
The feather is from one of our Australorp chickens, probably our feisty rooster. 🐓 I’ll be glad to go over my process for setting up my Make Nine in more detail. Do you mainly have questions about which projects I choose?
