Episode 11 of the Burma Border Run!
Today I get into a very difficult situation when I decided to drive on a dirt track for a few hours to Pai, instead of taking the main road. What could possibly go wrong?
But before all that I go visit a temple split by the Burmese/Thai border and tomb to a one armed warlord. All in a days work for this channel tbh.

I thought I was a nutter riding my scooter down the back side of Suthep but yep you win. Even yours truly aka the Mad Monkey wouldn't ride that road without an off road bike. Makes you wonder the locals do it so effortlessly 3 up?

The Thai ability to drive an old Honda Wave is a superpower! I think it probably helps that they do it at speed and don't overthink it - crawling down probably didn't do me any favours

I am living in Chiang Mai and have ridden all 77 provinces. Heading to Laos soon. I hear the roads there are dreadful. Love to have a pint together some day.
