He was highlighting 17yo Messi, because he saw what Messi was doing in trainings and the amount of control, speed, pace, precision that Messi had at 17 was beyond anything Ronaldinho had seen or even performed himself. I wholeheartedly agree that Ronaldinho has a very strong argument for being someone who played most "beautifully."

Carecía de otras cosas, pero técnicamente era un genio absoluto

But in terms of how they made their games look easy and beautiful to watch, like a piece of art, Messi and Djokovic, are far way behind, respectively, Ronaldinho and Federer. Messi is a scoring machine and has probably the best stats. There's no doubt about that. But I don't like his game. Ronaldinho's game was beautiful, lol. He could do literally anything he wanted with a football. Not Messi.
