the boots color palette is actually used in quite a few items, actually, notably the backside of V's shield and also the shaft of (or) dragon/infernal tools.
re: the string colors - the game likely just calls the texture being used for your boots to use on the strings to save on system resources, as they were already loaded in memory. this kind of tiny optimization being more important back when this was a tiny browser based game.
Your videos are clean man! I enjoy watching them! Just binged the series to this point. I wish you the best of luck with your grinds, drops and most importantly.. Keep killing those Lanzigs, dude!
I love the first bit of your intro music, but ive heard the second bit that fades out too many times to not feel like im about to learn how to do some home crafts project 😂 great series mate
I knew about the boot changing store, but man i did not know about the string of the lyre at all. Ive been loving this series, definitely got my subscription. Best part is ive still got more episodes to binge.
Wow! 🎉 The narrative style in this video is absolutely incredible! 🙌 I was hooked from the very beginning. The intro effects, especially at timestamp 1:12, added such a dynamic touch. Keep up your unwavering dedication! 💪 Your voice is made for commentary - it’s engaging and captivating. And those rapid uploads? 🚀 Truly impressive! 🌟 Oh, And I love the Rellekka facts! 🌟
So interesting note on the boot/lyre color, you know how basically a lot of objects in the game share the same model and just swap colors (think all the metal armor sets for example)? The way that works internally is by specifying an exact color to replace with another exact color, and for player customization options (clothes/boots/hair colors), this color swap is done on the entire player, including their equipment. In this case, the default color of the boots model just so happens to be the exact same color as the default color for that string on the lyre model, so the game just replaces both their colors with the new color the boots are using! I actually ran into this exact same thing a long time ago before too, back in RS2 days, where I just so happened to set my clan cape color to the one used for hair colors, so my clan cape would always match the wearer's hair color, and it still works in RS3 to this day haha!
Similar to the connection between your boots and the lyre: The sticks that you use at the bog inside temple trekking also change color if you dye your hair
Maybe whoever created the lyre and the other things people have all brought up, just used the player boot texture for the respective parts so it intentionally/unintentionally changes with different boot options.
So the technical reason the boots and the lyre change colors is due to the code for bootlaces is the same for lyre strings, as they are about the same width and length.
loving the vids! If you're now allowing random event loot, wouldn't you need to wait for a gold bar from Arnav since the fremmy guards drop ring molds? That would necessitate crafting a diamond ring.
Still not considering random event loot as necessary chunk goals, since theoretically I could get lamps to 80 agility and do the Rellekka lap (this would take years of waiting for random events). Just happy the gems can be acquired from another source :) Edit: however if i get a gold bar, I just might try making a diamond ring. For the flex if nothing else!
so getting the bee keeper to give flax you will need to have all pieces of the outfit owned either banked or in your inventory. you cant drop them or you will get them again.
I’ll address this more in the next episode, but yeah Silver is faster. After level 30, each Lanzig is worth 7.95 smithing xp versus 13.7 xp you get from a silver ore. But then again, Lanzig is more fun and gives combat xp :)
I will in the future once i get a few levels, but I’d rather get 170-200 agility xp per lamp than 10 smithing xp per lamp. There’s eventually going to be the lvl80 agility requirement for the Rellekka course, and it’s going to hurt when I roll it.
"even if (the adamant warhammer) is slow, it's gonna be so much better than the steel dagger" Funnily enough, it's really not that cut and dry. I dps calced and the dagger is actually better against rock crabs and other low defence targets. The hammer pulls away if the target has any defence, but the speed really does make that much of a difference.
You really shouldn’t have gotten rid of the ability to bank until you were mostly done with all the grinds where you would benefit in the future if you had the materials banked!
