Back in '87 when I was in the Marine Corps, a few of us were in a bar drinking in the Roppongi party district in Tokyo when Tom Keefer invited us over to his VIP table and bought us copious amounts of drinks. I have no recollection of how I or my fellow Marines made it back to the New Sanno... but we did. Thanks again Tom!
I am 60 yo now. This song was played all the time on the radio in 1986. Listened to Cindy ALL the time. Awesome song and awesome cover. This is a classic!
They weren't underrated in their time on MTV they were a huge success with themed videos and amazing songs, they got consistent airplay, MTV darlings if you will. Thanks for keeping the real Rock alive, amazing playing my young guitar sister never give up your passion and you'll go far. Take it from a guy who could shred with the best back then but gave uo a record deal to get married, regret only what you did not what you didn't do or you'll never know what would've happened. 🔥❣️😉
I'm happy to hear that you enjoy 80's music. You should check out this band and do the guitar cover. Band name is Krokus and the song is called " Are You Ready To Burn". It's a heavy metal sound that I'm positive you'll enjoy. I hope to hear your guitar cover.
We all know how great of a guitarist you are Emily, and your love of 80’s rock makes me smile! What I do find so special about you is that you are actually doing something meaningful with your life. A huge fist bump for that, keep those videos coming!!
One of my favourite bands of the 80's, very underated and overshadowed at the time by other bands. Great to see someone of your generation continuing the love for them and this was a fantastic cover of a great song, really well done Emily
Hey Emily, I always wanted to play the guitar but never started to learn. I could listen and watch you play every day all day. I think you are awesome. Also, a young girl like you listening to music I grew up on is fantastic. You're keeping them alive and bringing back great memories to people like myself. Keep on with your journey. Love you, your channel and all your videos. Take care and be safe.
Awesome Job !!! My favorite era of music !!! Keep up the great work !!! I was about your age when I played in my first band in 1985 when all this great music was coming out. I am glad to see you keeping it alive, enjoying it and having fun !! That's what it's all about !!!
It wasn’t my first show, but I seen them with Bon Jovi and the smithereens (smithereens got booed off the stage) in thornville,Oh at A venue called Buckeye lake music center aka Legend Valley in 86, and again on the New Jersey tour with Cinderella, bullet boys and winger, Cinderella, was without a doubt, the best act there! Great Job on the song! And I can’t really pic a song 🤔 I do like Heartbreak station the best… that song and album.
Love your videos and 80s hair music. You are very talented and I can tell you are only going to get better. Keep the covers coming I really enjoy watching.
(Long Hair Rock & Roll bands, Power Ballads, Pop & New Wave music)🎶🎵 There will never be another musical era like the 80's💪, a time when there was; "Real Music by Real Musician's"🤟 Two of my favorite bands due to their strong command of vocals were; "Whitesnake": (Is This Love, Here I Go Again, Still Of The Night) & Heart: (What About Love, These Dreams, Never) 🤟 Keep the "FIRE" burning Emily, well done🌹
I love Cinderella Tom Keifer has his own band now, at this age he still sound Kickass, one among my favorite front man who can do it all from solos to riffs and vocals.
Very awesome Emily! I love Cinderella! I saw on one of your posts how your parents got you into the 80's bands. That is great! I'm probably in your parents age group. For playing just 3 years, you are amazing! Way to go! 😃🤘🤘
Another good cover Emily. I got to see Cinderella twice years ago and saw Tom Keifer with his solo band this January. He STILL has IT. He is on tour right now and if you haven't seen him and his band, I highly recommend it. Like you said, these guys are getting older so the time is now.
Nice cover and great video. My favorite Cinderella riff to play is the intro to Gypsy Road. And currently my favorite song of theirs to listen to is Through the Rain. Like you said they are truly underrated as a band. Long Cold Winter was one of the first CDs I bought as a teenager and still one of my favorite albums.
Awesome playing, excellent tone as usual 😁👍🏻 love the video! Cinderella is one of my very favorite bands. I've seen them live in concert a few times. One of the best bands I've seen live. Last saw them with Poison in Ohio in 2002 or 2003 at Blossom. Killer concert. Several other bands too. 😎🎸
@@guitarbyemily They were absolutely awesome! Faster Pussycat was also there. They destroyed their instruments when they were done playing. 😂 The best concert year for me was when I was 8 years old 1988. Saw Van Halen with Sammy Hagar at the Akron Rubber Bowl. Was the hottest 2 days in Ohio history was like June and 103 degrees. 😂 Was with the Scorpions, Dokken, and Kingdom Come. That same year my aunt took me to Huey Lewis & The News, went backstage and ate lunch with he and his band. Great guys! Then I saw Michael Jackson that fall October 88 at Richfield Coliseum. 😁
I always loved those guys! Back in the day I won a silk screen banner of the band when I was around 12 years old or so at the Buckwheat Festival here in Preston County WV and at the time I didn't even know who they were until the Long Cold Winter tour with them White Lion and Tangier and they came to Morgantown....That was my second concert and it totally changed my life....Later that night after the show I started dragging my moms acoustic guitar out from under her bed and started picking around on it....I didn't even know how to tune it so I just matched the sound of a G chord by ear the best I could and started picking around with the song Coming Home in an open tuning....And the rest was history. lol Great video as always buddy and took me for a flashback for sure. lol
DAMN GIRL !!! You're playing now !!! Long time favorite song of mine.. bought that album the day it came out for that song !!! .....and you're on a 7 string Steve Vai ?!?! Again..... DAMN GIRL !!!👍👍👍👍👍
It's funny, I play this song on guitar also but we play it totally differently. Your version sounds better though. I was waiting to see if you got that 10th string harmonic in the solo. Great job! Keep it up 👍🏼🎸. Have a great weekend!
Really really great! And funny, as the song is playing on my daily playlist at the office currently 😊 Mötley Crue's Home Sweet Home would a nice cover as well, just saying 😉
Great job on this one!. Cinderella were definitely one of the better 80s hair bands. Emily you should check out there 1994 album Still Climbing is a departure from the 80s stuff but it still rocks.
