Just think about how important was this battle: - Oda’s escaped anihilation and dominated the conclusion of the Sengoku Jidai. - without this win Toyotomi would also not be able to dominate Japan. - no guess what would’ve happened in Kyushu - most likely a very powerful Shimazu - most likely Matsudaira would remain subordinate. Which means no Tokugawa Shogunate. Although Sekigahara may be the most important battle in the period, if Okehazama had a different outcome we could have a entirely different Japan...
My guess is that if Oda lost, it would have led to Central Japan not solidifying as early as it did in our time, which would have allowed the outlying powers of Shimazu, Chosokabe, and Date to not be immediatly subsumed into a Central Japan authority like the Toyotomi just as they start rising.
There is a cutscene latter where he tells his mentor " I am no longer the fool of owari!" Not sure what he what the context was but still pretty funny 😁
This triggered for me playing as a non oda player when nobunaga and yoshimoto clashed, and it was just as devastating for imagawa they lost all their standing armies!
Yeah, the battle essentially sent the Imagawa from being one of the strongest clans to weak especially since his son Ujizane was not that good at being a Daimyo! Quite impressive how one raid can change the course of history. I mean Yoshimoto would not have given Hideyoshi the chance that Nobunaga did.
@RangerRyu Yeah he had a very a "old world" view of things hideyoshi would have been just another soldier, the battle reminds me a bit of Guan Du Yuan Shao vs Cao Cao the Raid of wu Chao. I've tried Ujizane time and again since the ps2 days never succeed feels impossible!
between the butchered recent games of KOEI this game really looks to be a gem in the mud Downloading it now I thought it was just an expansion of sphere of influence
Sorry for the late reply, overlooked the notification I feel that this combat system is better than Taishi one, though can’t comment on the changes the PUK made to it since it never came out in the west.
Interesting game but gameplay looks boring. I remember playing a strategy game on ps2 or ps3 with nobunaga that had good animationns and even duels during battle. But I can't remember the name
