Vladimir Marquis in the end these people perform his work. Ever concert isn't just a celebration of the game, but a celebration of him. The fact he is so ecstatic and humble and genuine in his excitement when viewing it like that makes his actions so much more... I don't know, but he is such a swell guy.
I was there and it was amazing. What a pity that only a few people shouted "Sephiroth". It would have been way better if the whole Tempodrom shouted it. ^^
Estuans interius ira vehementi. Estuans interius ira vehementi. *Sephiroth!* *Sephiroth!* Estuans interius ira vehementi. Fun fact! Most of the text from this piece can be found somewhere in Carl Orff's 1933(?) cantata Carmina Burana. As a choral singer and music nerd I've been privileged to sing both pieces in concert.
Just one thing, the "Gloriosa, Generosa" starts after they say "Veni, veni, venias, ne me mori facias" 4 times then they say that part with the "Gloriosa, Generosa"
@@CKainn Bro, you shouldn't be in the comment section in the first place if you don't want spoiler... Besides, there are 9999999 comments from years ago too, what are you gonna do? Blaming them for spoilers too? Stay safe and bless

Arnie Roth is a great conductor... he understands the high level fandom of these concerts. They did something similar in the Distant Worlds concert I was able to attend in 2011 in Vancouver. There was no choir in that one, so he turned and got the audience to be the choir. Was great.
So what do you think of the fantasian ost. Surprisingly he said he thinks it’s the best work he’s ever done. I disagree lol but still think it’s really good
@@ChronoMune He also said that Final Fantasy IX had his favorite soundtrack of any Final Fantasy game. He is an excellent composer (one of the best I know of), but that statement makes me question his sanity. Final Fantasy IX's music was great, but not even close to the best.
@@ChronoMuneas a fellow musician and trained composer, I gotta agree with him there. Sure, in the FF ost he composed probably all its best standalone tracks, as Theme of Love, Dancing mad, Zanakard or Liberi Fatali (and of course One-Winged Angel) but overall in Fantasian I think he kept the very same level of melodical quality throughout the WHOLE ost, which is unusual from Nobuo that often rather composed a few GREAT songs, and then the rest was good but very simple. In Fantasian he experimented with harmony and melodies in more occasions, but most of all with the arrangement. I found the fantasian ost to be the one in which he had more fun experimenting with a lot of genres. And he did great. I also love the fact that the arrangement aren’t our typical giant epic orchestra, like in FF, but he managed to do a lot with fewer and colder/electronic/virtual instruments.
@@pamdrayer5648 lol maybe comes down to preference more than anything. Ff9 has that unique old school sound but in a more modern way. Probably pretty nostalgic for him
The bald guy on the big drums bumping his head what a chad. He definetly loves to play this masterpiece. Apart from Nobuo he seems to be the one who is enjoying it the most
As a bassist, another rhythm instrument, it's kinda important to get into the music ngl Rhythm section without the feel will make the whole thing fall apart :D
... well of course, he MADE it :D. I've got his, all of Linkin Park lyrics, and some anime opening songs (in a language I don't even speak) living rent-free in my head since the 00's.
Man 10/10 to the conductor for getting so into it and trying to get the crowd going! It's got to be the hardest job in the Orchestra and you rarely even see them lose focus for a second so having him turn around to get the crowd to join in on the "Sephiroths" multiple times is awesome!
That bell, being the easiest part of the song, I think is literally the most important part of the song just for the emphasis on how dark the song is supposed to be.
FYI apparently Masashi Hamauzu is one of people who sing the chorus of One Winged Angel in original FFVII game..he said that his 'first task' given by uematsu that time
The only thing I don’t like about these live performances of One Winged Angel is how they tend to be a lot faster. I just prefer this theme to be sorta slower. I believe it was originally 120, but in this live performance it’s more like 140
100 years from now, all rubbish will disappear. Only few will remain from our time. Nobuo is one of those. Greatest respect for an amazing composer. I own you a lot.
@Tricky Nicky Nope, in the collector dvd Uematsu gives exactly the speed. This is almost 25/30 bpm faster by hearing. However it's not so bad because it's orchestra, it works anyway, except for some instrumental parts that are speeded up so a few sounds and effect could be "inglobed" into the melody.
@Tricky Nicky It's like it loses some fundamentals, some instruments are covered by others and stuff alike! Nothing dramatic, it's a badass track anyway 😂

Max Miller Quite the lucky miracle honestly. He said in an interview that he constructed 2-4 random measures everyday and then randomly put them together to fit
