Oh, Tristan and Isolde on Wagner's piano, was enough to bring me to tears, it's one of my favourite, thankyou Nobu, you are the best, I hope, in fact I'm sure you had a most incredible time. Thankyou M. lieu xxx Australia
He said a lot -- but I couldn't understand the Japanese; something like he felt privileged to get to play on it. Perhaps our good friends who understand Japanese will come to our help.
I am so touched that they made these exceptions for him. Let him sit on Wagners chair and let him play on his piano. Where Nobuyuki is there is alwas love. Thank you so much for your work M.L. Liu, also for the link on the fan page !
The music off the top of his head is unfathomable. He can just play anything. Yes, I agree with Mosaic Rose that it must have been incredible to play at that piano. Such elegance and precision.
Nobu is a genius. Although I must point out that the piece that Nobu played ("liebestod") was on the program of his recital that he had been performing at the time. I know for a fact that he does practice very hard to play each work.
Bechstein has been in good condition for over a century and a half. Mr. Tsujii plays Isoldes liebestod on the shore of Lake Luzerne. Beautiful place, abyss of Trisrtan chords, and awesome performance.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what does "Bechstein" refer to? UPDATE: I just looked it up -- it's a German piano brand. So is Wagner's piano a Bechstein, or is it a Erard from Paris, as said on the Internet?
what he was saying at last is like " i'm so moved that i was able to play the piano that wagner actually used. i will remember this occasion for the rest of my life."
Thank you, thank you. May I ask what the subtitle say about the piano. Is it a Erard (as mentioned on the web) or a Bechstein (as mentioned in a comment above)? I would like to set the record straight.
Well, since Nobu is a great music lover, I knew he would also love opera. I was just glad/happy to find out he loves Wagner's music, too ( just like me ). ^ ^
Hmm, I listened to the narrator and watched the screen carefully myself...but the narrator or even the subtitle didn't say anything about the brand of the piano. Sorry, I am not really helping you here... >_< BUT ! Look here ! XD ↓ www.museums.ch/org/en/Richard-Wagner-Museum Erard, it is, then ! :D
@@nitfitnit Thank you ever so much. I work with "settings" as I have other instances of needing the English translation but I was unable to do it with this. Thank you for your help
