Thank for the info on the jump starter. Got mine just in case. Tow truck charge like $40 on up for a boost. and you have to wait which can be more than an hour sometimes.
Another vote for NOCO booster packs, we use them daily at work on all sorts of vehicles, pretty much start anything with one and built for the rough and tumble, highly recommended!
@@evilutionltd LOL...I have a Smart 450 Brabus (2004) and I’ve attached a set of heavy duty jump leads from the battery posts…fed them passed the polystyrene block and carpets, removed both clamps from the other ends and soldered the bare ends to two ¾ bolts mounted onto a 3”x 2” block of wood secured by heavy duty cable ties to the lower plastic panel in the passenger side foot well…it works great…I can jump it without moving from the driver’s seat.
@@unclebunkum If you are jumping the car that often that you cobble something like that together, you either need a new battery or investigate the heavy parasitic drain when the car is off.
@@evilutionltd Only ever had to jump it once…I find getting to the battery in that tiny, cramped-up space a pain in the backside at the best of times…just did it for the convenience
Just got mine today too. Just in case I need one. Should start a 2.7l v6 twin ford turbo. I wish I knew the max amps it can put out or say can it put 350 amps for 20 seconds. I know the max is 1250 amps. I could not find any test data on this but I am sure it will crank the start for this size engine. Was 140 at Amazon and Auto Zone. If I use it just one time its worth the time to me and spare me some headaches. At least this way you can drive to go buy a new battery if need one. Really wanted an air pump and jump starter combo but so many out there and I go by reviews most of the time. Best thing is keep a good battery and good tires and wont have these problems.
I usually get a new battery every 3 years. Only once did a new batteries cell short in about two years. Right now I am buying Duracell from Sams Club. At least save 30-40 from an auto store.
