I decided to play this for fun, and got really frustrated near the cadenza after practicing a while. I watched this, realized how much I was doing incredibly wrong, and fixed it. This is a great performance and really helpful
I got this sheet of music for my solo. My school usually picks easier songs, and this one will definitely be a challenge! Thank you for posting your experience playing it! It will be very helpful to play along with it so I can get it right
You did a stellar job of interpreting this nocturne! Bravo! Your accompanist, seemed he was making stuff up at times; treating 1/8th notes as quarters in the first measure, later on treating 1/16th notes as 1/8th notes, not doubling the soloist in 8va on pp2, second stanza, etc. That's what I got before I switched to another version. I'm a collaborative pianist. I want to listen to recordings that are true to the part written for piano. However, YOU did a fantastic job!
I’m in eighth grade and I’m playing this as a solo for my audition for a festival. I’m so nervous I have never learned the super super high notes before 😣
I played this in eight grade to lol, don't get stressed out by it this solo is surprisingly easy to learn if you take it piece by piece and sit down with it for 20 to 30 minutes a day
my solo for solo & ensemble is next week and my director just realized she gave me the wrong nocturne and this is the one i actually havr to play 😀 time to cram, wish me luck
Hi! Lovely. Thanks for the recording. Out of curiosity, how old where you when you made this recording, with how many years of playing clarinet, and playing on what type of clarinet?
