Nodoka can never be a replacement or a successor, no one can. A-chan was the face of the company because she was A-chan, because she was there from the beginning and had the kind of universal trust and respect she did. No one will ever be that again because no one else is A-chan. Nodoka can only take on her public relations duties but she'll never be the next A-chan. That being said, I'm sure she'll do an amazing job at the things she can do and will try her best and that's all we can ask for, I'll be cheering for her.

Totally agree. It just shows how many of us where helped by them. Without them, the pandemic days would pretty much be a black and white world to me. I always watch these girls to avoid stressing myself out. Specially the comedic scenes that are always in every stream they have ❤

I know that Nodoka-chan has quickly become beloved, but come on, A-Chan IS Hololive. Holo would literally never have existed without her and Sora. Watching other clips, I thought she might come back later... Seeing this one though, I can almost guarantee she's not coming back. I'm glad she is able to have faith in her own friend A (Sora) and her kouhai Nodoka to keep everything going. Good work everyone, you're all making our lives brighter.

Many people have already left Cover before, but A-chan wasn't 'just' a staff member. She is the everyday face of management and most importantly one of the cornerstones of Hololive, working tirelessly to see the company grow over the years. If it weren't for supporting her best friend's dream, Hololive wouldn't be what it is today, and none of us would be here, affected by the news of her retirement. She's set the bar very high, leaving her mark not only on Hololive but on the vtubing industry as a whole, but I'm sure Nodoka will be up to the challenge and will follow in her footsteps. A-chan will be missed by a lot of people!

No, you're wrong. Without her, Hololive wouldn't even be today, period. Yagoo had no intentions of making a vtuber or idol company, it was A-chan's idea. It's not an exaggeration to say without her we wouldn't have Hololive at all and Yagoo would still be running his tech company. All the talents and any fan who knows their history has nothing but immense respect for her and I've never seen a single bad word spoken about her by anyone, this is definitely heartbreaking news for everyone and I can only wish she enjoys her well-earned break and hope for the health of her and her family. o7

A-chan's role in Hololive is so unique and refreshing: being the cool and capable office lady-type and acting as a vtuber representative of Cover corp. She is very professional in what she does and she has the best English fluency among HoloJP members. Being gone after 7 years is really gonna hurt a lot of us. Nodoka may feel that she has big shoes to fill, but she could just continue in her own way. She has her own charm that is different from A-chan.

A-Chan was such an important part of Hololive that seeing her leave just feels so surreal, for me it was hard to picture her ever leaving since it felt like she was a permanent part of Hololive. Its also strange because in any other company, staff leaving would just be business as usual, but in this fun world of Vtubers it's heartbreaking.

It's less about the VTuber world and more about it being Hololive specifically (I doubt any of us would shed a tear for any Niji staff leaving). A-chan is one of the Four Pillars of Hololive; without her tireless work and dedication, Hololive would not likely be near where it is today.

It's not even about the world of vtubers or hololive, it's A-chan specifically. Almost any other staff could leave and it wouldn't be such a big deal. Hell as much as I hate to say it a large majority of the talents themselves could leave, and it wouldn't be as big a deal. She was more than just staff and there are very few people in the entire industry as important and universally respected as her. She is a special person and has given so much over the years that the reaction to her leaving is special too, no other staff will ever have this level of fanfare until Yagoo himself retires, and everyone can only pay their respects to her regardless of who your oshi is. o7

Yeah, it's just something I always assumed was going to be a constant. Cover and Hololive are going to be here for a long time to come, so job security for A-chan was never in question, but sometimes life just throws a curveball and one has to focus on what matters most. She should absolutely focus on her family first and foremost, but in the event she does decide to do a graduation stream, I dare say that it might be one of the most viewed Hololive streams ever, surpassing even Pekomama. That's how much people love her.

As a fan barely a few streams before gen 1 appeared I watched the Gen 0 girls. I watched each one of them including Miko just weeks before Fubuki’s first stream and since the appearance of A-chan I’ve have been her fan as well. Today, after reading the announcement I had realized just how much I accidentally was a fan of A-chan. I think I subscribed to the main channel after I found out about hologra. But I ended up watching a lot of the goofy competitions and other collabs that were done with a bunch of members who rotated after I found out they had english subtitles. The thing was that A-chan was in so many of those episodes, that I ended up technically watching A-chan more so than even a lot of the talents. I hope the best for her and her family.

Incredibly sad. The contributions of A-chan can't be understated. From being a driving force for Hololive's start because she wanted to support her best friend, Sora, to encouraging Suisei and keeping her from quitting. Here's hoping for the best for her and her family.

i feel so sad when i saw A-chan tweet but at same time i cant even imagine what she's been through when she was thingking before made this decision...imagine being together with your workplace that you can be proud calling it as "second home", creating legendary memories on the journey but then having crisist situation with A-chan family and then decided she cannot longer working as staff for her home...i wish A-chan never forget that we as Holofans are very love A-chan, care about A-chan, support A-chan and miss A-chan forever. It's sad to see A-chan leave. I hope she and her family do well! She's always been an incredibly supportive fixture of Hololive, and that support extended to Nodoka. And while Nodoka knows she can't replace what A-chan meant to Hololive, I'm sure she'll be a great support in her own way going forward. I hope nothing bu the best for her, as well.

From how it's been described, it sounds like A-chan has a family member that requires someone to care for them. Perhaps someone else was originally meant to take over the role, or maybe things got worse, so she can't return to work. Regardless, I hope the best for her and her family. I wish we could have had a goodbye stream with her present.

Its sad for us but im sure Cover has grown enough that they will be able to carry on. A-Chan will be missed but if anything this should remind everyone to enjoy every moment of everyone in Hololive we have right now
