Listen when I wrote my first feature film this man was at the top of his game he flew in from LA to meet with me and my business partner as we just wanted to meet him as he was are idol in the Industry we are both women…. He was amazing with so respectful and warm might I add he took are art so seriously and helped us become the writers we are today. I am so glad he has spoken finally the man in that chair is the man we met no airs or graces just real. I stand on it he was doing to well and people wanted him gone. But God is bigger.

I think it’s important to remember that our experiences & interactions with someone isn’t going to be the same as everyone else. I don’t know whether he’s guilty of these claims or not, but it isn’t a given that he’s innocent just because he wasn’t inappropriate with you.

Shocked this is a thing. Went to an opening for one of his projects as a student filmmaker, everyone felt like a community, all his crew cast etc were very down to earth and welcoming. Utterly surprised by this. Hope justice prevails. World's gone mad. Bless up.

He’s making a lot of points, especially in regards to changing views from generations. Things have changed, and there is a lot to unlearn, and it’s not going to happen overnight. This is only in regards to inappropriate comments though. When you know better you do better. However if you’re a criminal who has done the worst, you deserve jail.
To be fair this is a much better interview than the other one. Better questions were asked so more accountability is shown and more solutions discussed.
I don’t believe not disbelieve, but also, being a perv, being manipulative, inappropriate, or generally just scummy isn’t a crime. So lots of those allegations may not look good on paper, but that doesn’t mean because he can’t be convicted of any of the above doesn’t give people a free pass because they think there’s a loophole to be an asshole.
The free pass belongs to those 20 women that made false allegations about him. EVERYONE knows you go to HR if it is workplace bullying, if its not dealt with you take it to employment tribunal, police etc. NONE of those women went to the Police not ONE. They went to a newspaper, you fail with comments on being manipulative, inappropriate or being scummy. Those women went to the newspaper not the police because they knew they failed to report it to the police, they knew going in the newspaper would damage him. There is ZERO loophole. Those women should be sued.

What a refreshing interview. This is the trouble with the tech we now have, its not Chinese whispers its trial by social media. I totally get where Noel is coming from and when he states at the end of the vid if i don't know you i ain't saying hello, I'm exactly like that. He comes across as self-assured, not cocky or arrogant. I didn't even know he had kids let alone a wife, this shouts hey I'm a private person leave it.
Seems to be a real unwillingness to accept responsibility here...I read the Guardian article and there are some very specific things he's accused of such as sexually propositioning young actresses, secretly filming an actress who did a nude audition, one of his co--stars in Bulletproof alleging during filming a sex scene in between takes she felt he was stroking her inappropriately...allegations of shooting a sex scene with no adequate safety protocols for the people hired and many allegations of making inappropriate comments about an art directors bum (which he did admit he did and apologized for), 20 women made accusations that highlighted very consistent behaviour....he needs to address those things specifically.

I met Noel in person at a Liverpool game and he was super nice to me paused for a photo and stood and chatted with me for 5 mins in a crowd of thousands. He did not have to do that, respect bro YNWA Noel 👊🏿
Was he accused of any serious crimes? He said a girl had a nice bum, wow let's string him up. Up until a few years ago, they were giving celebrates awards for the rear of the year and loving it. Noel has faced no charges, no video audition tapes were produced nor any other evidence. Innocent until proven guilty for me.
The realest observations by 2 of the realest people . Mistakes were made by Noel, but in many ways he reminds me of myself. He's very matter of fact & blunt with it. I ain’t gonna lie I like his movies but when he shot 4,3,2,1 he was moving like a dick and tried to get his security to ride on us bear in mind we were like 14 years old just being kids shouting things out. He knows as part of this movie was shot on an estate in west london but he redeemed himself by giving away loads of the groceries to the people of that estate that he used as props so I respect him.
The fact is you cant really have interactions and conversations about a thing all by yourself there is always 2 or more people involved and there's always a scapegoat. I like Noel Clarke - when your not up people ass, they don't like you. Also, in regards to Adam Deacon, I kind of believe that he needed counselling after doing Kidulthood and Adulthood because acting kind of locks you into this world.. Acting can mess with you mentally and people don't know how to get help for it.. I don't believe he was being bullied by Noel, I think it was easy for certain people to make Noel look bad tbh. I believe him.
Sadly a lot of people get themselves into situations that they can’t truly explain because they are two people in one. For example, person one, for whatever reason over hugs, the other person never hugs. Person two can’t even remember what person one did. She said she has seen him at events but he says he don’t go out. Ultimately lot of people have been hurt, the women who have complained, his family, friends and himself, his lost the ability to work, in industry he loved. It’s so important to check the side of you that has the ability to do inappropriate things and I also think it’s important that people can see transparency and a willingness to change and improve, I truly wish him well and an opportunity to redeem himself mainly for the reason that I hope others see and learn not to make the same mistakes and hurt people, because sadly it takes a significant time to heal and hope these women can look back and see coming forward caused a positive change in his past behaviour.

@@xaviecole4424 It was reported to the police but the police couldn’t press charges. Sometimes the police can’t press charges because they need actual physical evidence which is nearly impossible in harassment claims (as noted on the C4 program 24 hours in police custody). Just because they couldn’t charge him doesn’t mean that he is innocent. To me his guilt shows when 20 women complained, plus he admitting HIMSELF that he: Apologised for his behaviour and wanted to take time out to work on himself (that’s an admission of guilt). Sent pictures of his dick to women and told many women that they had nice arses is enough to show what a sleazy man he is. Being sleazy isn’t illegal, being sleazy in the workplace is harassment and is illegal. Lastly, I worked with a man who sexually harassed many women in the workplace, they had no evidence (in emails or recording for example), however they did not report it to the police but he was sacked immediately. The film companies that he worked with would have to sack him after so many people were involved because if he harassed anyone else then they would have been sued for not providing a duty of care towards staff. 20 people isn’t a coincidence it’s a pattern. Pity that he didn’t think of his sleazy behaviour (which he admits to himself) instead of his ego, he got himself into this mess himself, the fault lies with him.
Something tells me that despite the fact that some of the allegations are false, some are true. And when I look at him, and his body language and behaviour in this video, he’s very defensive about everything. He’s definitely done something wrong…

I work in the film and television industry and there’s an old saying don’t shit on people on your way up because they will help you on the way back down and that’s exactly what happened to this nasty piece of work.

This interview is brilliant. Zeze is so grounded and isn’t afraid to let people say there point of view. Never take information at face value, always something else.
He also got 20 woman making allegations against him and he giving off major r kelly vibes kidulthood was a good film but the energy from the 3 boys is what makes that film good adulthood was ok at best everything else is worth a miss and there is a lot more successful black artists from worse areas doing bigger things and the industry are jealous or racist against them to the point they get 20 seperate people to make allegations
I NEVER comment on RU-vid. But i need to say this. His situation was a teachable moment that was carried out poorly via “cancellation”. He wasn’t perfect…JUST like everyone. It was an opportunity for him to acknowledge, reflect and learn, instead of being attacked and dragged. I get it. Society hasn’t been perfect in protecting women, but I do feel it’s not fair to pull people down without context or their perspective. Everyone deserves Grace and love. Well done Noel for speaking out on this. I can't fathom how anyone could be so easily accused, destroying their career and livelihood, not to mention the trauma they suffered with their family, and NOT one cop interviewed them, NOT one charge was laid against them and they were NOT arrested for anything. But yet, a newspaper can run with such a story and take no consequence for their actions of printing such rubbish. Where's their source for printing such crap. If you're gonna accuse someone of a crime or offence, then I believe they should be exposed if its deemed a lie. Where do people get the wrong idea that an introspection, that wrongly taking responsibility, is in order even when the facts show that you have been plotted against? No, Noel was condemned and cancelled by everyone else without ever listening to his side. Why should he do to him what his enemies did to him? Even in court, that’s not expected of the individual.

I feel like he lacks empathy and emotional intelligence it’s offensive he’s very desensitised to allot maybe due to childhood trauma God knows. He’s definitely standoffish but so are many people in this world we live in today. He also lacks empathy toward women generally in my opinion, things like harassment, DV and etc do not affect someone like him directly so he was in his own world and clearly wasn’t keeping up with the changes in society and the years of women campaigning to be heard about being harassed in the workplace and women speaking up generally. It’s like he lived in his own bubble until it got burst. Until it affected the only thing he cared about that’s when he became an empath and a listener. Another thing I noticed was his “boss” “egoistical” manner he definitely got ahead of himself and it sounds like he took advantage of his position wether that be bullying people below him or the lack of boundaries with women. Zeze conducted the interview well but it seems like he kept interrupting her and steering the conversation to support his narrative. I do feel like he did blacklist Deacon from any film production he is involved in which is technically blackballing when you share the same genre of film/series and character type I guess. I can understand where deacon was coming from but his mental health definitely plays a part to this all. It consumed him and unfortunately he grew an obsession with the hate he had for Noel. 20 females coming forward is allot but if even one is telling the truth and not all that is enough. He wanted to put the blame on others so badly by saying so and so has said and done same thing but only I’ve been affected. Does that make it ok? If you are a “boss” and you didn’t want to interact with people you because you are not open then why feel comfortable to be inappropriately open? There’s allot of flaws in this interview from his side despite being charged or not he may not be a criminal but he has character traits that lead to him crossing boundaries and maybe if he wasn’t in his position he could of or maybe pushed those further into a crime? Bringing up a soap star arrested for rape comparing it to his situation again he’s deflecting. This is just a man who’s sorry he got caught in my opinion and the wrath of the consequences has humbled and forced him to be empathetic and view things from a perspective his egoism and arrogant character would of NEVER done before this situation. He dosent deserve to be convicted by the people and does deserve a fair trial by court but laws prevent certain allegations being taken seriously especially if it happens at a time where evidence and camera phones hardly existed. All in all we as humans have not been appointed to be God’s secretaries and we can’t expect a man with Children to give up on life and not try to redeem himself despite his wrongs to be able to provide for his family. He’s still a man and he’s still a father end of the day he needs to provide for his children. Unless he’s a rapist, pedo, murderer everyone deserves to be rehabilitated from whatever wrongs they have done, life is about learning and forgiveness we cant condemn people and expect them to suffer the wrath for eternity. That can lead to more criminals more abusers even terrorists, because it’s more dangerous to turn your back on someone than try to help educate and teach them to be better. That’s clear to see from Noel Clark turning his back on Adam Deacon and how he has handled it for 10 years, let’s not forget he tried to kill a neighbour with a machete during a mental breakdown, God says we shouldn’t judge if you are not sin free yourself. May God make his healing journey easier. Maybe he should write scripts in favour of spreading awareness about DV, sexual harassment and women generally. I’m tired of seeing gang related films with hood guys killing eachother, what about the female perspective? He can use this as a way to educate not only himself allot of young men and women to do better.

When I saw what happened to him back then I said immediately he has upset someone high up. Massive respect for this man. The way he pushed boundaries in the industry and opened doors for others. His hard work ethic. So happy he's come through it all and he's come back strong. This could have been too much for some and led them to take their lives. Nothing is for nothing and all that hard work you've put in over the last 20 years Noel, and the fact that you've managed to endure this means your biggest blessings are yet to come. I'm writing this comment 2 months after this interview and have only just found out today about Noel being cancelled etc.. (in June 2023). I don't own a TV, and don't read newspapers and barely use social media exactly because of the lies dem ah tell. This whole thing is a prime example. Amazing Interview, Noel Clarke is legendary and did not deserve to be treated in this way. This interview should have been done ages ago but under the circumstances its understandable why this wasn't done before. As for Ashley Walters, he had no choice but to make a statement as you are vilified by association especially when black in this industry.

I’ve enjoyed his work for several years, is he my favourite actor? No not by a long shot. But the fact nothing was forwarded to the police, no questioning took place and this looks like a sting against this man when he was getting one of the biggest awards of his life
I think Noel crossed the line regarding sexual impropriety with these women, which likely didn't reach the criminal threshold. This does not, however, mean he is innocent like he thinks he is!
These topics are extremely intricate and complex because multiple factors come in to play. One very attractive guy could say something to a woman and a woman might consider it flirting because she is interested whilst another person she doesn’t find attractive could say the wxact same thing in the exact same way and tone and she could consider that as harassment based on feelings and her lack of interest which to me seems abit of a flawed thing. There needs to be very clear things set in place that defines clearly what is point blank wrong regardless of the context.

His smile and expressions at the end just tells me he has been holding onto this for millenia! Very candid, very honest.
