Noel Gallagher’s Voice Change (Don’t Look Back in Anger) 1995-2019 

His voice gets better and better....arguably one of the very best songwriters as well.

Years of experience, confidence and familiarity with his own voice and material = Legend!

His voice aged like a fine red wine!

My favorite was Maine road 1996. So much power. The song has completely changed, from where it used to be a powerful rock anthem, now it’s a softer ballad, which is fine I suppose, and fits his modern style better.

He also changed the key from C to G with a capo in 2000 which gave it a more softer feel.

HIs voice has gotten smoother over time and he sings the song more gently now. Almost 2 different animals, both biblical.

You can hear the strain disappear. His technique is much better. (As it would need to be with him singing whole sets and being 50 years old). Good job to him.

I mean his voice has minimally changed but my favourite was 95/96. It’s so Rock n roll in comparison to now.

Noel sounds how you'd think a talented Irish man sounds. Liam was just so god damn unique in his day.

The voice hasn’t changed much but the songs have. Don’t look back in anger and wonserwall have gotten softer and softer with him through his solo gigs.

Noel's voice hasn't really changed, only the way he sings the songs. I'd rather go to a Liam gig, though - even though he doesn't have the vocal range of old, his unique balls-out snarling approach is keeping the rock 'n' roll flame alive.

2016 guitar solo is Fantastic

Not much difference to me. It's more a change in the style in which he sings it vs his actual voice. I love the older, wiser Noel myself and the songs he does acoustically.

I’ve LOVED every version I’ve heard him do. I love how he keeps switching it up. Never once been disappointed after a Noel Show EXCEPT for the night he opened for the Smashing Pumpkins and that’s because it was more or less billed as a co-headline show so I was pretty upset when Noel only did like 50 minutes!! Still am upset about that really

His voices never changed tbh

Noel’s voice is remained almost identical through the years. Noel sang much less compare to Liam. They had gig over gig over gig amd Liam’s voice couldn’t handle, plus his Hashimoto’s Thyroid disease didn’t help too.

Unpopular opinions: I prefer his 90’s voice. It feels more powerful and rock n roll. His modern voice sounds softer, he can hit higher notes now but I feel it’s lost his original Noel sense

Dropping the key a half step (2008/15/18/19) helped him sound smoother, but 04/05 get my vote.

I like the early livw versions the best, played quite a bit faster than what they recorded later. More rocky so to say.

Hes always been better with just his guitar for me. Hasnt got a strong enough voice to get above the band. Its why he wrote the songs and his brother sang them and it worked out alright!!!

Whereas Liam's voice degraded, Noel's improved. Still, Noel is right when he says he's a better singer but Liam has a better voice.

His voice is quite good since 1995, but the thing with his voice it’s that is very soft and doesn’t have a real punch to rock and roll, in Oasis worked well because it was a contrast to Liam’s voice, but sincerely both have a tone that doesn’t work to listen for long time, I remembered that in the book by his older brother Paul, he mentioned that he was rejected as a singer in the Inspiral Carpets because of the lack of power
