Liams voice is still alright, much improved lately actually, but nothing compared to his prime.... and they wouldnt have the attitude or the energy today to be what they were. they were as much about the headlines and antics as they were about the music... them turning up, behaving themselves and singing a few songs wouldnt live up to the hype. still be class, but itd be like liams gigs now, what liam is doing now is basically oasis.... noel wasnt anything special on the guitar so he doesnt really add anything... and the songs are already there. liam singing oasis songs as a solo artist is basically the same as an oasis gig would be now.
Oh no, Liam's all for Oasis. Noel's the stubborn one. Liam started tweeting like crazy this spring about how he wanted Oasis to reunite for a charity concert to raise money for the growing pandemic. Noel hasn't spoken about it at all, as far as I'm aware.

I have been close with people who changed their entire personality and no matter what I did, the person who I used to know never came back. I wonder if Noel's soft side is still there or if it's completely gone at this point.
Little Darling, that's the closest to what I think that I have heard. Yes people can change beyond recognition. I think Noel always had a hard, cold side because of the abuse he suffered... you HAVE to kill your feelings when that happens to you. But around Liam he was able to loosen up, and we the public saw that. Liam was the conduit through which we saw his soft side. Since he jettisoned Liam, we no longer see the softer Noel. He's still there, as Noel is a great father, his kids love him, but in public the only conduit for us to see that part of him has sadly been banished.

I was never really that close to my brother but I nearly lost him a few years ago, he was very ill and was told he may not survive. He pulled through and he is now my best friend, it takes something like that to realise how much you love someone. I really hope that these guys don’t leave it too late if something like that happened or worse, you have to appreciate and enjoy every moment that loved ones are in your lives as it’s too short.
I'm glad you drew closer to your brother. I lost my younger brother a few years ago to cancer. We always had a bit of a strange distant relationship and of course there's nothing I can do to resolve that now.

ITA! I was front row, center in 2000, and in the fourth row in 2006. Words cannot describe the show they put on. And to be these surly legends, these two guys really made both shows special for me, personally. Those memories are freaking priceless. I'd see them again in a heartbeat. 👑

Both of them being John Lennon fans, you’d think they’d know better. John and Paul weren’t regularly speaking to each other when John was taken away and Paul is still sad about it 40 years later. They should know that life is bigger than a rivalry between brothers.
Liam is the one responsible for the band breaking up. The final blowout they had was so severe and it was Liam making nasty comments about Noel's daughter and a whole range of other toxic 💩. --- Noel walked off, and the band broke up. But Liam is the a**hole.
I'm sure they still love, care, and think about, and miss each other. I don't believe that ever goes away, especially when you see how close they were growing up and into adulthood. There will come a day when they'll reconcile, I'm sure ~
Let’s not forget that Noel never wanted/had the confidence to start a band or be musician professionally and it was Liam who encouraged him to expose himself and join Oasis because he loved him so much and admired his songwriting. Noel was down in the dumps and Liam believed in him when no one else did.
what really gets me is the pictures of the brothers where liam isn't acting like a gremlin and noel is smiling so honestly, they both look so happy in those pictures. I feel like shedding a tear when I see those pictures.

100% true. And unfortunately Liam has convinced every 15 year old girl fan of his that Noel is the anti-christ who hates Oasis and their fans. For the whole of Oasis Noel put the most effort in when everyone else either left of barely bothered, but once it was over all the old band mates are begging for it back.
I read an NME article from 2015 which said they text each other a lot. Noel had also offered to write songs for Liam’s solo career and wished Liam good luck. But Liam like an idiot he is, screwed up all hopes of getting back with his brother. The constant slagging off on twitter...so meaningless. And then his fans buying into whatever he says and seeking attention from him.
OP Once Noel have made his mind up there's no going back, he never reconcile with anyone he fall out with. Some comment about his wife is not where it lies.

If they ever make peace with each other it will surely shake the world. Very small possibility considering Liam’s kids didn’t like Noel’s daughter too (cmiiw). And Noel’s wife didn’t like Liam (vice versa).
What's really weird about this is I used to suspect Liam Gallagher thought he was John Lennon Reincarnated based on one line I heard him say long before I heard this story or that Sascha Baron Cohen interview. He just vaguely alluded to a belief in reincarnation. And for years I thought that he thought he was Lennon for some reason. Like I just knew he was talking about himself, and his Idol.

My parents were estranged from their families before I was born, including all their siblings. I found it pretty devastating as a kid, and I still hate holidays like Christmas. Family is priceless, and I hope these brothers can become close one day.
It honestly makes me sad seeing them both these days. I only started getting into Oasis these past 3 years which had been wonderful but makes me sad that I completely missed them in their prime. But after watching Supersonic, various interviews and a lot of the music videos. It makes me so sad that they seemingly despise eachother these days. I wish for their mum’s sake they’d sort their shit out. I’d be more than happy for them to just be brothers again than have oasis reformed. Also, the music video for All Around The World has a nice moment towards the end where the both sort of nod and smile at eachother :’)
It's a brother thing, I can guarantee they still got love for each other ,,the rest is just trying to keep face and not losing face but as they get older and realise what they did, They will back and I will b there, Either way they will live forever

The music scene will never have the 1990s again, as no nirvana will ever come again, for the youth. Oasis were so fortunate to come after nirvana, and lived out nirvanas energy of giving a base for alternative bands to be given a chance. Everything happens in cycles, and its not very likely that any young generation will ever experience a nirvana again. 1990s was the last real decade of what humans were. Its good to see both gallacher bro went there own way, and became there own people, and not just ran oasis into the ground. You gotta know when to walk away, and some bands just beat the dead horse over and over for money, and just for money.
If anything happens to either of them they'll regret it for the rest of the lives, knowing they ended on bad terms, me and my brother never argue but if we did I'm not holding grudges bc life is too unpredictable, to be pushing ur own brother away from your life. The end of the day you will never stop being a Brother/Sister and they'll never stop being yours. It's better to agree to disagree than have to deal with sinking guilt for the rest of your life if they don't get theirs.
It’s so so sad I lost my eldest son he’d have been 39 this Thursday, I have my precious younger son but he’s suffered with addiction & mental health & wishes he could have a moment with his older brother. To see two brothers who were so close be estranged for so many years please you two lads get in touch because you never know what’s round the corner, if anything happened to either of you trust me you’d be beyond devastated never mind what your precious mum would feel. Make the call, who cares who gets in touch first, as a mother who knows let it all go & reunite not for anything else but the both of you.
Both of them do their own thing now and there’s lots we don’t know so it’s probably better this way, I know both of them respect the fact that they are here because of eachother
I guess they are like this because of their childhood. It's how they learned to act and how they learned to treat family perhaps. But the ultimate triumph would be if they could learn to get along.
