@@kasiabe1164 People seem to willingly expose their stupidity when they write online, probably because it's anonomous. Doesn't matter though the author is still an imbecile.
Love the new album, it’s back to form. Did NOT care for “Who Built The Moon” or the EP’s, not at all. Soooo glad he’s back to what we love to hear him doing.🙏🏻🎧☘️
Really interesting to hear that NG hates the sound of ...Morning Glory! He's spot on about Who Built the Moon? It sounds like a bad mono mix on many of those (albeit cool) songs.
@@AkyovNorthWest I'm guessing he hates the hard compression on it...which is a bit odd considering that D,M is REALLY slammed with compression. Both sound good to my ears though.
@@sodiumlightshe changes his opinion on albums every week so I wouldn't take it too seriously, considering it's his most successful album and set of songs I heavily doubt he'd come out over 25yrs later to say that he hated the sound
Morning Glory while having the best songs, the mix and sound of it is kinda shit. If you go back and listen to it right now after hearing Noels new album, it just sounds compressed and inside a tunnel. It really needs a proper proper remastering.
@@sodiumlights Definitely Maybe is compressed but it still has width to it and sounds natural. Morning Glory is very very digital sounding compared imo.
I just came to these comments to find someone else puzzling over that! The way he phrased it was so vague I wasn't even sure he was being negative, but yeah I think he was dismissing it, right..? Because yes, I swear I first heard Noel talk about this "killer song" he'd written called Stop The Clocks in an interview 20 years ago somewhere between, oh, Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe The Truth, so 2003ish... or maybe even one album cycle earlier, perhaps circa 2001. But for whatever reason it never made whichever album that was, or the one after, or even as a bonus new track on their first singles compilation _despite lending its name to that compilation_ in what seemed an absolute open goal missed, considering it was apparently _the_ great lost Oasis song. And so it made perfect sense that Noel would finally release it when he eventually started a solo career. So it feels very disconcerting that he now appears to be anti it, after all that buildup .
Good call Noel 👍 young fathers are a mish mash of madness with every anomaly and tangent thrown into their music, heard them play Glastonbury festival and that was lit as the kid would say 🎼
(cough) Noel mixed up DM with WTSMG, it's DM that has the noisy guitar compression. DBTT is indeed a solid one, it just miss a big song. Lyla wasn't catchy enough to carry it but it was a genuinely good collaborative album for all band members making really good tunes. Liam proved something there that had nothing to do with his Lennon obsession.
Yeah, he is in love with Definitely Maybe but sonically it tires me after a few listens. It is like an AC/DC album in a way. Noisy. Morning Glory has better songs and better dynamics.
@@tt-du6vc You can blame Noel and Owen Morris being on cocaine which impaired their judgement. Be Here Now is similar to DM with the soundwall of the magnitude of loud guitars. Rock'n'Roll is very welcome to sound massive though.
Noel should check out the band Alvvays, from Canada. They're influenced by Oasis out and proud but don't sound anything like them, but you can hear why. Someone needs to get him onto them.
In my mind we have all come to accept that music online has permanently become devalued but I know that AI will be the future so what will people pay for and want to see live? People playing instruments. Or singing in person. I feel that live music will be valued even more than it is today, and it will become “cool” again for people to do more in person.
... he does sound kinda sore on the whole Aisis project :D Be that as it may, there's no denying Aisis filled a void. I, for one, will gladly buy their record should it be released because it is a breath of fresh air for an Oasis fans. Besides, the music it's real, not ai-generated, and they definitely got it right :D
If Noel wants to secure the future he needs to contact the Aisis creators, and best Ai creators because Ai literally allows him to creator music in the style of the Past
@@jamesnunn7181 your another outdated mind, you literally listen to his music with effects on it, so if Noel had an idea for an old era Oasis Album he should not be able to do it and ignore the technology that can literally make him sound as he did in the 1990s
Noel blames England's demise on Brexit. Goes to show the depth of his political understanding. Then again what more can be expected from the man "rocknroll" man who endorsed Blair.
yeah i mean, the 1975 are a pop band. They obviously have songs that span different genres but at heart it’s basically pop albums, which isn’t a bad thing.
When Noel’s talking about hating ‘Morning Glory’ he doesn’t mean he hates the music, he means the mix and the fact he thinks he rushed the writing of some songs. Still the best Oasis album for me.
@@Chanelson2010 yeah I don’t get his hate for it either, but he’s very critical of his own music in general so doesn’t surprise me. He also changes his mind a lot, he seems to have mellowed on BHN.
“The world’s a great place, it’s just inhabited by c*nts and it’s the internet’s fault”. Thrown in so casually with five seconds left and never a truer word said.
i couldn't care less about the music and oasis in general... but that guy's got an attitude and a way of critical thinking that well resonates with me.
I had no idea he was so critical of his own music. I thought he only dislikes Be Here Now, but he is really critical about his songwriting and the amount of “good songs” on each record. This is interesting, bc a lot of independent artists are like this, never thought Noel was like that as well, definitely can relate
Me personally, I think Aisis is a joke. It's just another lot's music riding off the name of Oasis and Liam Gallagher just 'cause they got the computer power to use so-vits. How about having your own damn identity? The whole concept of Aisis is misleading. Literally the only thing "AI generated Oasis" about it is the singer. Noel IS right. You can't AI what he does.
At 25:17 the “reunion” of Oasis is brought up. We were blown away when Noel explained that Oasis has never been made an offer. So there you have it promoters, offer the $$$ and he’ll consider the reunion-let’s go!🙏🏻🎧
Duke of Manchester 😂Really apart from music Noel should make some stand ups ....love that kind of humor.....coz people are nowadays so serious. You cant joke coz it might make someone not ok... missing 90s when all was normall thanx God I grew up in that time
Noel ain't no 'Duke of Manchester' !! The minute Oasis were signed he moved down South and has never returned since !! He's 'From' Manchester !! The Noel of today is as far away from a Mancunian Duke as a Japanese make up artist is !!
The 1975 … a band of northern lads, with a controversial gobby lead singer, who write decent radio pop songs and repurpose and rip off 70s and 80s music for a modern audience… you’d think Noel could empathise…
I think he’s disgruntled because Matt The lead singer said that no one gives a toss about the solo work… he said Oasis should just reform and instantly be the biggest band in the world again. I’m guessing Noel didn’t like the wording.
Big difference is Matty Healy makes shit music and he’s a nepo baby so It makes him much less rock and roll and more just childish and unlikeable unfortunately.
Its true! High Flying Birds band are atrocious. Oasis made two good albums. HFB made no good albums. Noel Gallaghers solo work post Oasis is well below par. That's because liam is a much better singer/frontman with attitude. Noel isn't a frontman. And Oasis were never the biggest band in the world as they never made it in North America. They were the biggest band from England!
I saw the interview when the lady gave it to him. He acted like it was the coolest thing ever. Cleary, he still likes it. It's been like 15-20 years. 😅
Brexit was never properly done, the bits that have failed at are the bits still attached to the EU....ie ECHR. This country was going down hill in the EU and let's not forget our government closed the country for years , so what do you expect?
@@sootycure they’re completely separate entities and we’re signed up to the echr, in fact the United Kingdom was one of the original creators of it. You should be thankful for it too, it’s what prevents any future government from attacking YOUR individual freedoms. Only a total moron would think being part of it was a bad thing.
@@Swampsong117It’s amazing how many people have these opinions due to pure ignorance. Part of me wishes people were more informed but then the other part of me reminds me that most people wouldn’t be too stubborn to change their mind anyway.
What an excellent interview, thankyou for this! The interviewer is great, he lets the guest talk and doesn't interrupt, Noel very much seemed to enjoy his company.
I must be in the minority, but when I got to see HFB’s I don’t want to hear Oasis, I’m there to hear all of the cracking tunes Noel has been putting out there for pretty much 15 years post Oasis. On the flip side, if I was ever dragged to one of Liam’s gigs I’d only want to hear him doing Oasis tunes, because let’s be honest, his solo stuff is horrendous 😂
Duke of Manchester? Why not lol Definitely Maybe, was their best album. I agree. Just raw power. I was not a huge Oasis fan but I respect his talent. Yeah I agree on modern Rock, it's not what it was but it bloody should be.
The presenter is a complete no mark. Comes off as a disingenuous letting agent type. No chemistry, no charisma, no charm. Would've been better just putting the questions for Noel up the the screen and letting answer them. Typical for NME these days.
I like Noel, he’s honest and a bit of an arse. And in the spirit of Noel, I’m gunna be honest; in my opinion Oasis is overrated shite music. Great talent though. Cheers!
@@katiewillson4077couldn’t have said it better myself best thing is there’s interviews about the album where he going saying the track are fucking great and still relevant !!! This guy probably listens to late 90s boy bands or these university educated gangsta rappers 😂
