That's what made him lose it. He has become a fucking boring civilized mature old fat fuck making fucking porno soundtrack. What happened to you Noel? You used to be the real rock n roll deal, a living working class legend. Nowadays, you show the long time fans what a working class traitor you are.
He's happy because he's in total control and has the spotlight, albeit on a much smaller stage. I can't relate to his music anymore, or him as a person. All his answers are half truths to sound cool and witty, or he's bragging about his celebrity friends.... Never fails. Straight answer? Forget about it.
Ivan Bravo correct .... he’s become civilised and mature , he’s grown up and stopped believing the hype of what the yes men were telling him and he’s off the gear, and when you have the money to do what you want without having to save for it .... you cease becoming working class ,but you can still be rock n roll ! I reckon you’d probably walk past 4 out of the 5 members of AC/DC the street without knowing who they are , they’ve sold in excess of 250 million maybe more albums sell out 80,000 plus concerts in the blink of an eye yet you very rarely see anything about them in the press yet they are part of one of the biggest rock bands on the planet they can afford the finer things in life , race teams , helicopter companies ... they all came from working class back grounds but they are far from being working class now ... fact the lead guitarist plays down his wealth and rock star needs by only having 3 guitars on tour but very rarely uses the other 2 from the one he plays during the concert, people need to realise and start listening to Noel , when he says he doesn’t need the money from an Oasis reunion he doesn’t . he’s stated many many times he’s content in playing smaller shows with NGHFB and he’s I think writing the best stuff he has in years .... you either like him or you don’t
It's interesting to me how many people talk about Noel and Liam's relationship and think they know what it's about. None of us have any idea what the real deal was and why Noel decided to go no contact. That usually happens in toxic relationships and in those cases, even if it's a family member, sometimes no contact is the best approach. Unfortunately for them, they're both public figures and all of this unravels in front of everyone. But that doesn't mean we know exactly what happened that led to the decision to cut all ties.
They have always being at eachother and were set to reform initially, however when Liam called out Noels wife, that was the end of it sadly. Silly stuff. Imagine being in one of the most successful bands ever with your brother. Its hard!
Liam questioned whether Noel was actually the father own his own child. That's why Noel cut ties completely with him. From Noel's own mouth, He spoke on it recently in an interview.
@@robertlavender4278 a rotten thing to say and I am sure there has been plenty more personal digs said, but the funny thing is if you see Anais, she is SO a Gallagher. She really looks like Noel, a bit more than Meg. Although if you see Frances Bean Cobain... It is shocking how much she is 50% of Kurt and 50% of Courtney.
i hope they make amends, not for a reunion of the band but for how much it would make there mother happy and im sure they could get over things over time just baby steps and a hand shake or ssomething
I'll be brutal here, was never really a fan of Oasis or Noel's solo work, nor have I owned any of their music, BUT I find the Noel very endearing and I really enjoy him being interviewed. He just seems like a really nice bloke.
I do appreciate your comments. I think for me as someone who is close to his 50th birthday I must be starting to grow up myself......... sad I know. I always loved the oasis music. When it stopped and people went their own way it’s obvious that the fans will have views on what Liam and Noel do as individual artists. For me it’s just refreshing to listen to an interview where you’re not hearing....... I’m this I’m that and I’m gonna beat this one up and that one up. Because let’s face it neither Liam or Noel is a hard man. So for me I enjoyed this interview
Yep, Liam wins hands down musically and as a bloke st present. It's a shame they cant make up as brothers though, they don't need Oasis to be brothers.
When Oasis split I thought Noel was gonna go on and emulate McCartney and Liam would fade away into obscurity. Fast forward 10 years and Noel has become a pop singer and Liam is absolutely wiping the floor with him in terms of solo album sales. Who'd have thought!?
Masterplan would have been and still is a James Bond sounding song the opening bass line is what you can imagine the two tone women , spinning gun , barrel down the gun. Absolutely!!!
Regarding the very first 10 seconds: A Bond theme can't be used unless it's specifically written for the film, it's one of these weird rules the Bond franchise has which I'm not sure what the reason for it is
Noel's answers were practically word for word of other interview anecdotes. Shame Evans couldn't come up with some original questions. It's 2019 and he's asking how he joined Oasis? Come on.
Yeah, saying how he wished he asked that question at end to Liam like its never been answered. Most of these interviews both Noel and Liam go on are generic safe questions or just typical nonsense (absolute radio..)
A lot of songwriters say " that song fell out of the air and you just catch it" , SO is it a dimensional thing where they are wrote for you , Dylan and Lennon have used the same expression and John McLean explains what happened when he wrote " America Pie" he says it came in 8 minutes and feels " I didn't write that I just wrote it down" , do u get my drift on this people? ITS SPOOKY when u weigh it up, Yoko said John would look possessed sometimes, is there more to it than we understand? , im not making it up it's what THEY say about songwriting, waddaya fink? facinates me.
Noel changes his story a lot. He used to say Maine Road was significant because he became a millionaire a few days beforehand, but this interview would make that a year earlier in 1995 during the Morning Glory sessions.
These guys are the most self aware celebrities around. Poor Liam just got cursed with the humble gene and he's always trying to make up for it, with hilarious results. Love em both though.
Caffrey MCFC I think he just got sick of Liam being an egomaniac prick, and realized Oasis weren't going anywhere new, and he didn't need Liam anymore. Then Liam insulted his wife and daughter at some point, which brought out the cold streak Noel admits he has. Liam may love Noel but he's not the innocent guy he likes to make out.
@@lucasm3879 Probably right mate. Not to mention the lack of maintaining Liams voice. I often create "what if" scenarios and reimagine them around thir 3rd album. But this time on, they took time off and really immersed themselves in their influences, decided to come up with a seriously "out there" album and came back roaring. And they turn the band into a less EGO driven and more song writing unit.
@@adoniswarchild144 Haha I wouldn't spend too much time imagining a perfect fantasy dimension mate, just my advice. That would never have happened! They definitely had a magic touch for the first two albums, Liam was a brilliant frontman and Noel's songs had something special in them. He'll always be a great songwriter, but the first two albums were when everything he wrote had that magic in it. I used to wonder about the Mondays and Roses bringing out better albums in different circumstances, fact is it didn't happen! I don't think it would be possible for Liam to be less ego driven anyway!
I loved Oasis and I love both of of them as solo artists I think they are both really good. It's a shame they don't speak anymore....but maybe it adds something to their solo careers that they don't?... (as a mum) I feel bad for Peggy though. She must hate that they don't speak 😕. Oasis at Finsbury park in the rain supported by the Charlatans was Mega!
In the mid-90's Noel liked Chris, he went on that 'TFI Friday' TV show that Chris presented in about 1995. Over the next couple of years Noel started to dislike Chris, Noel took exception to how Chris dissed Noel's wife Meg a few times on TV or radio, and Noel said he was angry - saying he would take Chris to task if he ever saw him. He later referred to Chris as "a certain ginger haired person" - or words to that effect - and he didn't mean it in a nice way. In the later years of Chris's TV show 'TFI Friday' - this would be about 1997 or 98 - Chris was interviewing someone and the person asked if Noel had been on the show recently, Chris replied "he wouldn't come on this show!", Chris seemed to be acknowledging with that comment that he was very aware that Noel didn't think highly of him. Anyway, fast-forward 21 or 22 years and it's like Noel and Chris have always been friends - Noel is happy to go on this show in 2019. Did they make up or do Noel and Chris just have very short memories and can not remember all the things I've detailed here?
@@mod4it87 I assume that as so many years have passed all the things which occurred have been forgotten and it's like none of it ever happened. What occurred between Noel and Chris also occurred between Noel's brother Liam and Chris too - Liam had negative things to say about Chris years ago - Liam referred to Chris in a negative way from the stage at the Brit Awards at the height of Oasis's success in the 1990's too. Yet Chris has interviewed Liam recently and it's like the two have always been buddies.
Jeff Oliver Chris did say a few years back that Noel didn’t speak to him for that reason for years. Like you say time has mended that petit shit. Liam was just messin at the brits like he did with Blur because he liked giving attitude but he didn’t ever hate or refuse to talk to them.
@@darthdmun why, because I have hope that deep down they love each other. Even if they don't get the band together, just get together as brothers. They wouldn't be who they are without each other. I think their mother deserves having her family back together. They had it rough but she did everything she could for those boys. It's about love and respect and out of respect I think they should put their differences aside for her for now. I have children and I would be destroyed on the inside if my children couldn't come together as I grow old. It would hurt me to the core just like I bet it hurts Peg. She doesn't deserve that. It's just my opinion and feelings. Thanks for the question .XO
3:20 Why wouldn't he just be honest and tell that all the clumsy 8-track demos can be found on youtube instead of repeating the great legend of bringing "Live Forever" to rehearsals. We already had that in "Supersonic" and tons of other past interviews. He even had written a few ones that are alright before that.
@@darylhallard2087 Thought it was a building site? A slab of concrete fell on his foot and broke it so he was put in charge of handing out tools, nuts and bolts and stuff to the workers from a shed. Anyway, he brought his guitar there and wrote a lot of Definitely Maybe songs there.
I think we need to all accept that these siblings will never reunite. It’s sad, but Noel really believes he’s moved on and his songwriting has gotten better. He’s also evolved into a front man and that’s not an easy role to give up.
Yes, although judging from what he said in this interview I actually think that there is more of a chance than let‘s say last year. I think somewhere in the back if his mind he actually is sad that they don‘t talk with each other (Liam most definitely is), so I think some day down the road they will meet up again and maybe make peace. Doesn’t mean that Oasis comes back together, but just the personal problems might get solved.
Such fucking shame they dont get on whether they are in a band or not. I am the same age as Liam and have an older brother, we used to fall out all the time. But guess what life is too short they will regret all the time they have wasted. They have a duty to their kids to show how to treat one another and I think their partners should encourage them to talk. They are not getting any younger but still need their heads banging together. 😞
My mate met him last week on the ferry to the Isle of Wight Festival. He took him on the ferry bridge if you've seen those photos of Noel in the captain's hat? He's also met Liam down here [Lymington] in a nearby pub in Brockenhurst. Video of that on here. Matt Wooford you lucky bastard!
Seemed like a more old-school Noely G in this interview, not as much defense of his new pap-music and how he doesn't give a shit what people think of it, and a nice blend of Noel's classic honest-yet-arrogant humility ✌️😎 X
