I lost my mother in january 2015 and this album has been released a couple of weeks after. I restart to play guitar and I bought a new amp and pedal. I will never forget these songs. This album has been a therapy.
I was offered 'morning glory" when i was eleven, and next year i asked for "be here now". My haunt told me : "OASIS again?". After 25 years, i'm 38 yo now, i'm still listening the 2 brothers Liam and Noel. Even if they split they produce nice songs.
I honestly think Noel GALLAGHER is so much better singer then Liam, and he's a lot better looking as well. Probably because there is so much more expression on his face , and his passion and emotion in singing his songs can bring me to tears
liam gallagher is the frontman and voice of a whole generation. wonder why noel did not sang in oasis (excepto for a few tunes) liam is oasis sound, noel is aswell...but you cant even discuss liam in his prime
The guitar mix on this show sounds awesome. Too many of these recorded NGFHB shows have the NG's vocals way too far out front. I get it for the albums - but live, I want to hear those guitars turned up in the mix. Thank you, Rockpalast!
I wasn't a huge fan of Oasis in the 1990's, but this band has quickly jumped to the top of my playlist. Noel Gallagher is an impressive and talented song writer/ musician.
Same. I just thought their tunes were fuzzy noise most of the time... Noel on acoustic or on his own made me realize what great songs/lyrics they were... Can't get enough of these tunes 30 years after they came out... that says something for sure!
I cried a lot listening to "If I had a Gun." This song helped me pass through many problems in my relationship. One of the most influential songs in my life. Good melody and lyrics.
I was mowing the lawn the other day listening to this and I hadn't heard much of the high flying birds. When the performance hit this I was thinking to myself "this is something that you can package and sell, it's a banger"
I hear you, this song was my official turning 40 song and it has become a transcendental song for me. There are several versions look for the acoustic one, you'll like it.
Nollys music might be better but Liam's got much better attitude o.b.e. for Noel, no way man he slated the Royal family at Woodbridge house. Liam likes the Queen, good LAD.
When people say he ain't even that good on guitar, it does my head in , he doesn't say he is that good , I would rather listen to noel all day than slash , his songwriting just gets better , !!
Cannot compare those two musicians and total different characters. Noel acts like a coke sniffing banker who thinks nobody is greater them him. Frusciante is like the typical shy artist.
This stellar performance of "Champagne Supernova" proves that Noel sings his songs better than the other bloke, what's his name, d'you know what I mean? Also "Don't Look Back In Anger" which is solid advice for both Gallaghers and all of us
@@richtofen4888 Theres a felling i get with the raw passion of liam singing (now and in the past) that i just dont get with noels voice and thats really subjective so i can understand why someone would rather hear 2021 noel over 2021 liam , but liam singing this in the prime of his career is almost impecable, theres just no comparison to be made. Yet again music is so subjective that even trying to compare or saying ones is better than the other makes no sense to me, at the end is all about personal preference and we should appreciate both ♡
@@nico-jl1wj I'm giving you five shining stars for this "Yet again music is so subjective that even trying to compare or saying ones is better than the other makes no sense to me, at the end is all about personal preference and we should appreciate both ♡" Thank you and keep groovin. PS Liam was superb in WTSMG DYKWIM Gas Panic and of course, "My Big Mouth"
yeah noel can sing songs like champagne supernova and wonderwall very good as well since they are more laid back songs however all the harder rock n roll songs he can't sing as good as liam at all, his voice just doesn't have the needed rawness and power and back in the 90s his singing technique wasn't as good, he didn't have as much power from his diaphrame back then
The brass section is way too much. Why the hell Gallagher uses all these nice vintage guitars? For just strumming open chords? A bit snobby, isn' t it.
they are the guitars he owns. What do you suggest he uses? And what would you use? Should he unpack the budget yamaha? Bit of a snobby comment to be honest
I'm impressed, with Noel's singing voice it compares to old (he was a member of Oasis) more than his voice reached far and it has taken on emotion. I believe he much effort🥰
Liam will never be able to write top tier tunes like ballad of the mighty, dying of the light, if I had a gun etc, Liam’s music is just for having fun, while Noel’s is for appreciating the beauty of songwriting
Are you okay man? Did you had a stroke or something? Well I mean you left 3 comments about how you think that Noel is a “shite” songwriter. Going on this string wouldn’t mean that Champagne Supernova and all he’s older songs are shite as well? Even if you don’t like he’s solo stuff you can’t objectively say that it’s shite lmao. It’s fucking good stuff, but you do you booboo.
