I lost my shoes in a NOFX mosh pit in the 90’s. I honestly thought I was going to die in there. I wasn’t punk enough I guess. They put out an album shortly after that called “So long and thanks for all the shoes” (They were vintage clog sandals. I would kind of like them back)
LOL same here, and my best friend in high school just happened to own Punk in Drublic, and he would get annoyed cause I would ask to borrow that album every weekend, such a great song.
My brother when he was 13 used to play DOOM with this soundtrack (he is 9 years older than me. I was 4). it blew my mind!!!!! I still listen to it and it brings me back to such good memories!!! =)
Step one: buy a board. Step 2: put your foot on it. Step 3: try to move. Step 4: fall off. Repeated steps 2-4 until you succeed in doing steps 2-3 instead. Have fun! And bend your knees!
Dylan I am confortable skating all over the city! I just don’t do any tricks more than ollie, pop-shove it and running on half pipes, so I just skate for fun, nothing serious
Possessions never meant anything to me I'm not crazy We'll that's not true, I've got a bed and a guitar And a dog named Dog who pisses on my floor That's right, I've got a floor So what, so what, so what? I've got a pocket full of kleenex and lint and holes Where everything important to me Just seems to fall right down my leg And on to the floor My closest friend, linoleum, linoleum Supports my head, gives me something to believe That's me on the beachside combing the sand Metal meter in my hand Sporting a pocket full of change That's me on the street with a violin under my chin Playing with a grin, singing gibberish That's me on the back of the bus That's me in the cell That's me inside your head That's me inside your head
+The 4E pisses off cops and random ppl cause we do nothing wrong on our skateboards but they still get mad, then we lose our skate spots :( its happened to me many times lol
+NovaPlays takes skate board and wacks police with it. Skateboards away while playing electric guitar. Gets tazzered by police and has seizure. Trips out into another dimension. Story of my life.
They are so incredibly clever with their lyrics and album titles. No sarcasm, seriously not even the best writers could come up with the stuff they do.
Found these guys in my early 20's .....20 yrs later, still solid, they have an odd talent of being silly and still being relevant and smart.... whether they admit or not
I've always regretted missing them when they played near by back in 94. I was just looking up when it was and it was almost 2 months before this album got released. Friends told me it was a hell of a show. I bet it was. I've always heard rumors they ran out of beer. But no one really remembers that. They didnt play again until 2011. But I've already seen them twice by then.
Ahhh those memories of SKATEBOARDING with my buddies with NOFX screaming from Wokka's car stereo I miss the days when all that mattered was SKATEBOARDING and SKATEBOARDING and punk rock shows.
When I was 15, I got tickets for the nofx show 2000 at palm beach, fl. We were without a ride no money and a whole county away. So we snuck on a bus then the Amtrak train then another bus then got lost then cut a ride with some other punkers all with two bottles of vodka about an eighth green, and not a dime. We also had to go to school the next day. After the amazing show, drunk and high af we tried to stay in a abandoned building... until the cops came. Got arrested, Cory's dad got Aaron me and Cory home. Punk life was fun but shit could have been wayyyy different.
Fat Mike said he didn't understand why this is their most popular song. I understand it... The WHOLE DAMN SONG IS THE CHORUS!!! You can't get "Linoleum" out of your head until you go through the whole song.
My late Uncle Kenney introduced me to NOFX. I had the pleasure to see them in concert. That was 25 years ago. Im now Christian and libertarian. However hard they dig at my beliefs and virtues, I still love this band to its core.
Underground Kings need to adlib this but use "out in Baytown covered in sand, parking meters in my hand...sporting a pocket full of change..." Texas got it...
This song on Grind Session....not the one with Tony hawk and your mother.....In a Holocaust gulag .... outside Milwaukee....and Golda Meier won't...not can't... won't... won't save you...
