Noir Alley: Force Of Evil (1948) intro by Eddie Muller shown on Oct 27, 2019 From TCM's Noir Alley (Saturdays at Midnight ET and Sunday 10am ET) hosted by the Czar of Noir, Eddie Muller.
@@NoirFan77 CLASSIC story, YEARS AGO i was hitchhiking through Bishop, CA and got a ride from two young women, I said, "I don't know if you watch old movies but one of the great actors has lived here forever, Elisha Cook, Jr"...whereupon they burst out, "WE HOUSEKEEP FOR HIM. WE LOVE COOKIE!"
Eddie Muller doesn't blow his own trumpet but is author of Dark City: The Lost World of Film Noir - acclaimed as best book on this genre (though Foster Hirsch's The Dark Side of the Screen) also up there. Muller's incisive intro expanded by the extras on Arrow's blu-ray release of Force of Evil. Yes beware as exploring Noir is addictive...
Who cares about books about Noir? How about making something more useful, like saving and restoring all those abscure lost films or bad prints from the 30s and 40s that we're dying to watch!
@@EasternRomeOrthodoxy Huh? Why the heck are you watching Noir Alley if you don't understand or apprecite the genre? There are plenty of resourses available for your intrests.
@@michaelgardner-vn6kn What? Can you read? I want them to restore bad prints for us, so we could watch them, not doing useless thing like books for cash! I want to watch Goldie!))
