Travel Nok Air in their newer Boeing 737-800 from the old Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport to Phuket International Airport.
From check-in to the luggage carousel you'll see the professionals at Nok Air whisk you to paradise on this short 1 hour flight. Everything was quick and simple enough to leave me wanting to fly the airline again during our next visit to Thailand.

Other interesting notes to aviation buffs: Don Mueang International Airport was the main place before Suvarnabhumi International Airport was completed.
Though a bit vacant looking, Don Mueang is mostly used now by the low cost domestic carriers. The smaller aircraft look a bit out of place sitting where huge 747, 777, A340, DC10 and other large trijet aircraft once loaded passengers.
