Honestly I got a 2760 back in August 2022 because of a video I watched that made me want to get a flip phone instead of an iPhone and then when I watched you long review of the 2760 I decided to get one at my local Walmart. When I had it my experience was amazing. Now this video can help me consider if I should upgrade my flip phone or not

Hi Skywind, does this model able to answer phone call just flip open, without pressing the answer button? N end call by closing the flip.

Yes. Go to SETTINGS, then choose PERSONALIZATION, then go down to LID, and click on FLIP OPEN TO ANSWER and select ON. Now you can answer the call by just opening the lid, and end the call by closing the lid.

Two things: 1. Does the 2780 offer wi-fi calling? 2. Does the 2780 send/receive group texts as a single message, or are they split up?

i have the 2760 which does have wifi calling so I would assume the 2780 does too. For me on my 2760 groupchats are not split up

Both Nokias have voice search for maps... instead of choosing the red search... choose the yellow voice search right next to it. 🙂

Is there any significant difference between the two? 2760 keypad sucks. When you type, itll duplicate button presses which is very annoying.

The keyboards are the same on both phones. Exactly the same. No difference. If you don't like the 2760, you will not like the 2780. I also have an Alcatel Go Flip and the keyboard is better (in my opinion) and it also has STT (speech to text) which allows you to speak something out instead of type. I find that to be a game changer.

No mention is made how good (or not) it is to make or receive phone calls. Nothing about quality or reception of actual use to call and talk to actual live human beings.

I live in an area that is densely populated. Cell phone towers are commonplace. Transmission is great in my area with the phones shown in this video, but with every phone I have ever had. I really can't say anything about reception since I am fortunate enough to have great coverage where I live. I always have 4 or 5 bars with any phone. I am located in the Houston area in southeast Texas and the surrounding cities such as Sugar Land, Missouri City, and as far south as Galveston. I lived here almost 30 years and never had any problems with any phone brand concerning reception. It's a blessing from God.

Ninguno de los Nokia en este video permite bajar ni Facebook ni WhatsApp. Pero el Alcatel MyFlip 2 si permite bajar ambos. Y el Alcatel MyFlip 2 tiene otra ventaja, y es que permite STT (Speech To Text), de manera que para escribir algo uno tiene la opción de hablarlo en lugar de tener que escribirlo todo con el teclado. Did you get the iPhone 15? These Nokia flip phones are practical for making calls but I think Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip could push them out of the market. The difference is price, and it's huge. KaiOS needs a lot of improvement or else they face extinction. So far I wouldn't bet on the future of KaiOS devices. They haven't put out an update in over 2 years. Not even a minor patch. I'm dying to get a Samsung Z Flip but I don't have the money.

@@skywind007I see where your coming from but those who want a dumb phone like these Nokia don’t want2 screens like the z flip and motoroler although I also got tired of not being able to buys a good dumb phone and was considering buy any of these it’s just when you open the screen it’s a normal smart touch phone and I don’t have the decipline yet to get any of them so here I am trying to get one of these first. I got the cat s22 it was great but too heavy and I reluctantly returned it.

You are right about Kai OS I actually have an iPhone 13 mini that I got in December of 2022 I got the flip phone in August of the same year I lost the flip phone for about 7 months after I switched to T-Mobile with my family so I have unlimited data on my iPhone, I was excited to find nokia again. I also hope to get one of the smart folding phones like the Samsung z flip or the Motorola razer, when I get older and have the money. Yes I’m in my teen years.

The simple answer is no. There is no hotspot. If you go to settings you will find that internet can only be shared by USB, which I seriously doubt anybody can figure out how that would work except an engineer that works for KaiOS. Yes but they are very simple, like "Tank Shooting Duels", "Ice Hockey Shots", "Goalkeeper Pro", "Parking Car Driver", "Chess", "Bubble Shooter Lab", and many other basic games.

You are right. I didn't even notice that. I just checked both phones just to be sure, and they both use USB-C. The box is wrong.

No. It uses the KaiOS operating system, which is very inferior to Android or iOS. Your expectations from KaiOS should bee extremely low. By "extremely low", I mean crazy low.
