@@arandomviewer5251 I still miss my LG Shine. The Nokia n95 was cool too. Man I miss the days when all phone companies had many different shapes and ways to control it. I just want a dumb phone that has Whatsapp, made outside of China.
@@JohnThomWebb Unfortunatley no. I have the 80004g running the same KaiOS. Nothing like this works through browser. RU-vid apps works, but even with the premium feature you cant lock it and play music in the background. Only when screen is on. It's such a simple feature to include, wish they'd given it more thought for devices like this. Still love my dumb phone though, using it regurarly
I think im going to buy this one.. Only thing is that its missing spotify, too bad... Maybe I will buy a mp3 player for when im on the road or just download some music like the olden days.
the only downside is that the keypads start acting up after a while. double pressing and such the cat s22 is pretty cool, but kinda heavy. but hey . . . it's a caterpillar 🤷♂️
You can use the Nokia as an MP3 player. Just DL all your favorite tracks to an SD card and plug it in. Works like a charm on Nokia 80004g (runs the same KaiOS)
Nice niche of a phone, I have it. To whom it may concern, the 6300 is good phone if you can handle being limited, kaiOS won't have google apps like Spotify, RU-vid Music, or anything that is an Api not a web based app, nor you are able to side load android apps. If you need a less distracting android phone, CAT S22, or AMG 7, both run android. The CAT is best of the two with more RAM, ROM size and updated OS. There are other phone options as well. Good luck!
@@GauravMishra9200 AGM7 is priced at $119 and the CAT S22 is currently found at under $80, both on Amazon. You can find a budget Android for sure, BLU, RCA are the cheapest of phones, but cheap also means low RAM (memory), if you use basic apps it might be okay to use 1GB, I don't recommend less, though you will experience stutter Ui. I remember using a Nokia 2 in 2019 and at 1GB of RAM it isn't the best for multitasking, my Blackberry Classic was much more fluid with 2GB back then. Most apps that require more processing power you will experience hiccups. I think of those two cheap brands I mention, you might be better of with a Nokia with 2GB or 3 depending on your usage. If you want a good overall with great camera a Pixel 3 with Android 12. Take care!
I have the flip phone version, only issue I have is battery depletes fast. I use it like 70% of the time though. really nice to have a functional smartish phone that's less demanding on the owner.
@@jordanque7546 got it months ago lol, storage was really small and there was no social media (that’s why I bought it), no Google, and the default browser wouldn’t work, 0/10
The problem with these phones is that they're really hard to tell apart functionality-wise. The only obvious differences seem to be the external appearance modeled after the original phones, but functionality-wise the differences seem small and unclear. They should do a better job with clarity of positioning these phones.
I would love to get one. Sadly due to nature of my work I need access to certain phone apps. I heard there’s a way I can tether dumb phones to my smart phone so I can still receive calls and text which would be good I can just leave the smart phone on my desk but still have access to phone calls and text when I’m around the house.
*This phone comes with 32 GB of storage?? Woww, now that's really impressive for such a phone, literally unbelievable, with all the other cool stuffs that it has too..* 😍
I think, this kind of phone fits for my grandma. She always want to chat with me, and she call me using her house telephone back then when I was a kid.
I had something looks like this same family phone but the older model like around 2009 i guess and it was pretty good phone it had straight forward options setup and camera with good flashlight
I almost buy this one, I just love the way it looks and all it functionality but sadly due to new update on Whatsapp some user said it has some problems plus the keypad has double tap problems, so sad.
Pain to text on and most smart features are too difficult to use. I like the phones simplicity and it got me off smart phone. I’m now moving onto Cat S22
i have it. it has problems in charging on PC USB PORT. for a better charging is necessary turn-off. "REBOOTING this phone fix charging too". i like it only to talking and like Internet router.
Interesting for minimalist is one way to say it. There’s a few other phones I’ve found that are better quality for the price in general, without the useless crap like RU-vid or WhatsApp
why do these basic phones have mobile data capabilities? you don't need those on feature phones. it barely has any memory for message storage, let alone web based applications
Whoever comes up with a phone without social media and youtube will be the next billionaire. Browser with factory banned access to social media and RU-vid would be a plus
I agree. A smart phone that allows bluetooth, maps, decent camera, spotify and wallet would be perfect for me. Seems so simple. I don't think these big companies want us to 'think' though I'm afraid.
My problem is getting the contacts on these phones from gmail, I have over 300 contacts and I can’t input each one with the keyboard it would take hours
if you manage to unlock this phone (unlocked phone: a phone that has compatibility with any carrier) or find an unlocked version of this phone then you can
Battery lasts for about 2wks 😂I still use 2G one call & text only ! And it’s just family have this number -For my business use smart 9-5 only for email &work. Turn it off at 1700hrs 😊
