this channel used to be my favourite channel back then...... somehow I missed old technology that made me revisiting this channel today..... thank you Tracy , Matt and others
Nokia gave spice to the mobile world before.. it was so nice to see the diversity of mobile phones that people were using before. I really miss Nokia!! I was an avid fan of the Nokia N95, N90 and E73!
hah, sadly 8th series had quite bad battery life, especially those business class phones, so some of them came with second battery and charging dock for phone and battery.
it's funny how most people commenting on on this phone and crying over doesn't know shit about it, STOP comparing this phone with other half-priced smartphones that has dozen of features bigger screen better camera etc.... this phone ISN'T about functions and features, it's meant to be luxury headset made of premium materials for premium people that also offers specific Nokia and Vertu assistance services and holds its own in high-class handset market, I've previously owned ALL 8800 and 8860 Nokia series and including 2 Vertus and currently own 8800 Sirocco Gold, These phones are for people who are careless about jijiabytes and megapuper functions but rather one premium build simple functioning prestigious handset.
Well said. Its about class and luxury. this phone stands out. i own a luna and a 8801. and they feel so superior in quality and elegance. and it still has basic function fm radio, web browser, media player and many useful functions. but the best It's a real cellular phone.
Dragon Slayer1234 yes but when you have stainless steel, real carbon fiber, and titanium on a Nokia phone. it feels like forever in quality. just like a classic Lamborghini, on Phones.
stupid millenials and post-millenials. they want to make an argument but don't know how to. back in the pre-smartphone era the 8800 was the shit to have. noone gave a shit about having maps on the go, noone gave a shit about email on the go, we lived the day and gathered memories. and that's it.
i love all the nokia 8800 range. I had the first nokia 8800 and i loved it. but it was one of those phones that you had to have a spear one because you always thought you would brake it.
I have one of these, took me a long time to find a original as lots of fake about. Truly stunning phone and they are worth a mint now. Amazon were selling 2nd hand for over £3000. If you have one keep it, it will be a fortune in 10 years or so.
I got myself a sapphire arte and i must say that the original pouch is very tough. First i have to pull it out very hard half-way and then take the actual phone in my hand and rip it out.Same problem with putting it in.Have to push it down there. And i just cant do it without pressing the switch off button.People who are willing to buy one i recommend the sapphire arte. The carbon edition doesent acctualy use real carbon and why not get a phone with leather and a precious gem for the same price.
Im a time traveler from 2019, you have no idea how the lack of cell phone designs in the future. If you could stop and live on 2009 era on, by all means stay in that year
ye i was thinking that to be honest because it did show some on ebay for around 6-700 pounds too so i imagine the cheaper ones were replicas. Dont remember them actually stating its a replica though...naughty.
@elner123 The phone is for those rich ass geezer.. not for tech geek like us. The Gold version of this 8800 actualy uses 18 caret gold for the plating and fine leather while the Sapphire version uses a small portion of sapphire somewhere in the phone.. another one uses the black metal etc... All uses Top quality and expensive material to built the phone. For people like us, even we can afford it.. we wont be stupid enough to get it. but for people who want the expensive look.. u know.
