The Lumia 920 was Nokia's chance to fix the shortcomings of its earlier Windows Phone attempt, the Lumia 900. The screen size and resolution were bumped up, taking advantage of the support for full-HD screens in Windows Phone 8. Some build quality issues like the easily-scratched camera bezel were addressed. Most prominently, the lackluster camera of the 900 was replaced with an optically-stabilized PureView super-camera in the 920. As announced, the new device was a significant improvement in almost every measurable sense.
But were these enhancements, along with some style refinements and a Microsoft-based ad push, enough to catapult the 920 into the super-stardom it sought? More importantly, how has the handset as a whole held up in the months since its release? Windows Phone 8.1 was AMAZING, shame W10M brought us bugs and Microsoft killed it with a mediocre looking 950...(but having a fantastic camera and microphones too) I hope they will ever come back, I loved the OS :)

I've been using the Lumia 920 continuously as a daily driver since launch day. Regardless of the fact that I enjoy its bulk, the weight is a consideration for those coming from lighter devices (as mentioned in the narration). ^MF

Well, Michael mentioned in a previous video it has been his daily driver some time. In this video, he pointed out that the [dead horse issue of] weight isn't substantial but some people who are used to light phones may complain. The weight does give you a premium feel though.

@Tsukasadothack....You are correct. The human eye more than likely will not notice the difference from 720 to 1080. Especially on such a small display.

He's talking about other people's reactions to the weight. Which is something I've experienced myself. I'm used to the weight, but if someone else grabs my phone coming from one of the other lighter "plasticky" feeling phones then they notice the weight right away. However the 920 screams quality (like something that will be "vintage" one day) and personally I'd rather have the weight than the ultra cheap feel of Samsung and HTC phones. Although the HTC One seems promising.

Couldn't agree more Michael. My Lumia 920 is still fast, responsive and more than capable of competing with the Jellybean fitted Android phone that I also have (the Xperia T) in fact, the Lumia is a lot less "buggy" than the Xperia, since the Sony phone got upgraded to 4.1.2. That's a trend I hope continues when Windows Phone 8 gets its first major software update. Any ideas when that might be?

I had the 920 the day it released and gave it every opportunity but the battery life was the killer and I had to switch but I miss the camera

Yeah, I've seen the odd rumour about this "Windows Blue" and some wild reader speculations that its going to be a yearly update that could cost as much as $300 a time! That surely cannot be right, can it? Personally I hope that Microsoft are reasonable and sensible about updates, for both Windows Phone and Windows on PC (both, I've heard being covered by the Windows Blue project) I'll be sure to keep my disruptors locked on pocketnow, & the cloaking device control panel close at hand! :)

I don't feel as though he has actually used Nokia Lumia 920 "after the buzz". The weight is not even an issue once you use it for even more than a few days. This seems more of just an update on the landscape of news and comparing it to what we knew before.

Mine neither - try "Batterie Sense" - active toast message with battery drain in the app-options and at least u get noticed when batterie ist draining quickly! not a real solution but it helps :)

Do you have any problems with the front facing camera. Many users complain about dust in the camera and proximity sensor?

The thing is that even if it is already a more than 6 months device a lot of person doesnt know bout it which is good (for me) I really like being different :) A lot of people were like..What phone is that?! What android app did you use to have that kind of home screen etc etc. and I was like shouting NO IT IS WINDOWS PHONE!

I have black one for 3 months, already have some scratches on the screen and small damages on corners. But overall it's a great phone fast and cool design. However Nokia should create his own OS or switch to Jolla OS

I think the battery life is the issue here. I think more emphasis should be placed on this than the weight of the phone.

graphene-flagship.eu got about 0,98 Bill. Euro from the EU to accelerate the Graphene developing. So, that's not Nokia. Which implies that, if graphene is ready for the market, not only Nokia will have access to it. So, as long as it's not available "STAY WITH POLYCARBONTE".

No point in going to smaller OS's... If anything Nokia could go to android but nothing else. Nokia is getting a good deal from microsoft though so that won't be happening.

1080p on a phone is ridiculous. You won't be able to tell the difference, but the power consumption and processor will. It's pointless. Weight, not an issue, unless you're 3. But then again I've seen 3 year olds hold the Lumia with no problem.
