I still feel that Windows OS had the maximum potential, it just couldn't capitalize on it. I for one absolutely loved that OS and I didn't care about lack of apps. Its stock apps like city lens, gif creator, maps, the animation of windows tiles and its transitions while switching between apps were way ahead of time. I hope windows os returns in future so I can experience that feeling again.
I remember my friend had nokia lumia 720 in 2014 and i remember it has 512 mb Ram which is decent for that time but the ram management and processor is so good because I also had 512 mb Ram Micromax phone that time and i tested a game which is not running in my phone but Lumia phone handle that game smoothly and the game was asphalt 8 😅
I loved windows phones because of the software experience, it was way better as a mobile OS than android at the time. It had most other apps(like whatsapp, facebook, ms office) except google apps because google deliberately did not develop apps for the platform. Infact Microsoft developed a good third-party app for youtube but google disputed it and stopped the app. Windows phones were a strong competition not only to android but to iphones as well. the first major problem that windows phones suffered was the pricing - it was a little premium. if it would've captured the budget segment market then google would've been forced to developed apps for windows platform.
The major problem with windows phone was the scarcity of apps on it.. for eg. RU-vid was never there. Other important apps. Otherwise what windows phone offers, Android and iOS is always reluctant to offer even in the present, Like ability to Downgrade from the recent upgrade which may have caused problems with device. easy methods. Not just nokia/Microsoft phones. Any brand making windows phone..
@@skyfive3049 Microsoft did build an app for youtube(and a good one) but google legally disputed the app then Microsoft had to pull down the app from Microsoft store.
@@deepbanerjee4290obviously why would Google let them built app on thier own that's what I am saying, they can't built everything, they had to do something to import genuine apps on thier platform.
I have used lumia devices during early 2010s, the app performance was spectacular even when compared to other Android or iOS devices and with 2x better specs, the games used to run smoothly. The camera department was brilliant , just due to lack of app support windows couldn't make up their image in the market. They had dark mode, live tiles and much more cool customisation features. Sad to see that this awesome OS didn't get another chance 🥺
I was just reminiscing about my first smartphone, which was a Windows Phone! Microsoft Lumia 430. Very clean, beautiful and premium UI it was! If only apps developers made apps for this OS, the whole smartphone market would have been completely different than it is now.
My first phone was also Microsoft Lumia 430 and I still have that right now, Although I am using iPhone 14 pro max but Thats true love as a smartphone ❤
I still have Nokia Lumia 900, and believe me I am using that as my primary phone bcz I mostly make calls and use text SMS. Battery life is amazing. call quality super clear as it support 4g. and looks are fantastic. Even in Delhi Metro when I use my phone people usually notice. I love my Lumia 900.
I have used the Nokia Lumia 730 on 2014 the phone was amazing, the camera , display everything. I can't find Coc there that's the sad part when my friends were playing on Android. Bro now I'm using Redmi K20 Pro since 3.5yrs now. The phone was still lit. Pls do one video on K20 Pro. ☺️
I had this phone during college 1st year. The camera performance was probably the best at the time. Aluminium frame, six element lens, Carl Zeiss Optics, OIS, sleek looks and that super-optimized performance never failed to blow the whistles. It was an absolute favorite among my friend-circles. Prior to this, I was using the N8, which was another camera milestone. Pure nostalgia.
I have Microsoft Lumia 535 brought in 2014 and it works on Windows 10. The best thing I experienced on this phone was no hanging problem and nice camera quality as compared to Android phones launched at that time. And it's cool & unique interface...💖
That was my first Lumia phone, then I switched to Lumia 830 along with that I had Lumia 730 and 625 too.. all phones gave me different yet rich experience, apps that people needed that time I wasnt much into it so those things never mattered for me.. Later when MS killed Windows phone I switched to android.. but I would still love to buy windows phone to relive those days again❤❤ Windows lover can only relate to it 😊
i have had lumia 540, i really miss that mobile, it took pictures far better than anything else at that time but now i hope someone will come up with something like that cause it was so ahead of its time, even cortana during initial days of 2015 it was the smartest assistant of the bunch. that software experience was so smooth if they had given support for google apps that would have been a game changer.
I bought lumia 730 in 2k14.. i'm still using and it's working great...just the calling feature now...2010's mein samsung waahyad tha aur Android RAM hmesha clear krne ka sirdard rehta tha...iPhone bhi lag ya stuck hota tha lekin lumia pe asphalt bhi makkhan ki tarah chaltha tha aur Carl ziess lens ❤️ ...kya din the woh...luv u windows...
I have used nokia lumia 730, and never ever used any of such phone as of now. The look feel and the camera was way great... Currently using s10 plus, but still miss that same phone. And still have the phone but the battery is dead. Not able to find any battery. But still had a dream to use a windows phone in the ui in the flagship phone..
I used Nokia Lumia 630 during my college days. It was one of the best phones I used. With 512MB Ram I never experienced lag in that phone. Also, arguing about apps availibility, all major apps were there on windows store so never experienced that as I problem. The UI experience of windows is next level. Felt nostalgic after watchingbthis video.
People hated it because most of them couldn’t figure out how to operate windows on phone but they knew how to operate on computers, I found that pretty ironic 😂😂 - I loved my Lumia 830 that time too and still I am ❤❤
I had a Lumia 540 by Microsoft. It was an aesthetical no - non sense phone with beautiful edges and back panel. The tiles were absolutely on point and the touch screen was as smooth as water. If they brought Lumia back I'd definitely buy it again!
I was using this once.. still love the design, camera and durability.. Also it has all the sufficient apps needed for daily life.. NOKIA should return this as now we need some changes from IOS and Android OS..
I used Nokia Lumia 1320 from 2014 to 2016. It had only 5 pixel camera but photos captured from it are still camparable with today's phone. BTW I switched to OnePlus 3 from my lovely 1320.
Personal opinion: The os was really good, what was the issue I think is that these phones were not able to "kill the hype" or let's say "un-hook" people from the google apps which they were used to. They would have survived if they had launched with better alternate consumer apps like maps, audio/video streaming services, lots of games etc.
lumia 900/920/1020 was best window phone i used, my experience with window always a great, but due to window store App problem window lags behind android, best feature was offline map, very very accurate, i travel from gujarat to ladakh in year 2011/2013 and spiti 2014, all trip companion was offline maps from lumia which was super accurate, still missing window phone lot
My first smartphone was lumia 420 (2013), later I moved on to lumia 730 DS and I still have this phone, using it to run my one another number only for call / sms. It has Lumia Denim update, so yes I can put any wallpaper at home-screen, It's camera still works fine with 1080p recording, sadly no store, no 4G, no any other app except microsoft apps and some phone apps.
Used that for about 2 years and absolutely loved that, light on resources and buttery smooth experience. Wish windows could make a better mobile OS with common app support.
I had purchased lumia 730 green color when it was launched. It was pretty popular and all the stocks at shops would finish in minutes. I had convinced my sister too to buy lumia 730. I liked in the beginning 6 months but without much apps it was just painful to have. We both changed our devices to android around 1.5 years later. Sad thing is that my sister doesn’t trust me now for any kind of electronic gadget advices.😂
I had 640 xl. I was really amazed by the UI. It was actually a really customisable app including increasing size of app icons . Sadly only app non availability was the killer of this phone. If ms would have allowed free development of app 5hen this would have been the third mobile ecosystem along with Android and iOS
My first smart phone was lumia 520 then I have used lumia 730 with windows 10 that was awesome maybe many apps not available that time also but the feature like offline maps and camera manual mode were so practical for daily use also
@@callmeweeb4350 at that time which ui was smooth bro and feature loded...that time in budget small company was leading like carbon micromax lava etc and that were bugy othar than lumia ui was featured and smooth...and it depends on me which ui i liked... read my comment....best ui I ever used...i mentioned about me not for anyone elsa..
Windows 8.1 or 8.2 supported wallpaper on home screen.. and it looked awesome with the tiles I used lumia 720 in 2016 and it was awesome.. only thing it lacked were apps
i still have my nikia windows phones lumia 920,720,830...I love windows phones...missing them so much...switched to iPhone after they are at the stage of discontinuity...never an android user.
I bought this pone in 2013 and really loved the camera and performance of the phone until i lost it in 2015. Really miss that phone as it was my first smartphone.
Next phone that I would you to look at is Nokia 808 Pureview, If I am not wrong it was the first phone to have 41MP camera and collaboration with Carl Zeiss, It had a camera way ahead of it's time but failed because of Nokia's bad decision to stick with Symbian OS.
Windows was the best OS after win 8.1 n later 10. Very attractive UI. The only thing that killed the windows phone was that it was very advance than the time. It had many features that android got around 2019-20(mic gestures for eg.). Honesty i was very happy with my 2 lumias. Yes it doesn't had many 1st party apps till windows 8. But after the debut of windows 10 for phones, it got many 1st party apps and even had alternatives for almost every 1st party apps like it had tubemate instead of youtube, moliplayer instead of mxplayer. Even after many try from Microsoft to welcome 1st party apps to its store, company's like Google simple denied Microsoft request. They saw windows as a strong competitor for android. That is the reason why Google didn't had a single google app in Microsoft store.
Yes bro...even In windows 10 beta update Microsoft enabled android app support to windows mobile but later they removed that feature because of Google.
They should add appstore like Microsoft store , then apps issue would be solved !! As a samsung z fold 6 user , i seriously in love nowadays with previous windows phone!! I wish if i had them !! As a young government medical officer , windows in smartphone would be nice !! But kya karu !!
I had a nokia lumia 630 😂 and it still works till date if I charge it, never lagged even though it has just 500 mb ram I stopped using it 3 years ago because whatsapp was no longer supported and its app store basically stopped developing apps.
Legendary phone Nokia Lumia 😇🥰🥰it was very fun to use I have used Lumia 830 and 430.... we can customize the UI😀❤...... have an experience of windows 8 and got to know how it works in phone and even it got windows 10 updates 🥰🥰🥰.....sanchit bro if possible please also make a video on Sony xperia phones z3 z3 compact
i would love to see a windows 10 or 11 based mobile phone. and what if there is also some tab with windows os. we could create a ecosystem with a lot cheaper price than the apple or samsung.
I was a huge huge windows Phone fan.. In fact my first phone was Lumia 625 only in 2014. Even today if nokia lauch their window phones again I will buy it. U know soft corner for window phone❤
My first phone was a nokia lumia 800 suprisingly it's still working 😸 old is gold 🥇 My second phone was Sony Xperia XA Now currently I'm using IQOO Z6 PRO ( 6/128gb spec - facing few animation issues tho )
Bhai that builtin map and offline gps usefullness was so acurate in windows phone such a incredebile thing to use indeed... i was once in a remote jungle area far 100km from network area.. but still the gps and live location was working accurately fine
Nokia has been using the carl Zeiss optics for generations... Old models like Nokia N95-8GB too had it... Back in the days, Nokia 808 pureview was the first symbian based smartphone to have a 41mp cam
I had a Lumia phone in 2013. It was neon orange and it was beautiful. Windows was such a refreshing UI, it's just that Microsoft didn't develop it enough. But nokia was always innovative in their own way. OG Nokia.
I had 720 and the phne was the most durable phone [the phone fell on a rock face down, rock split but screen had no scratch, not kidding] with the toughest gorilla glass......The map app was actually really good it used to work and do routing even in offline mode, and in 2013 you could use the camera to do live translation of any text [almost all indian languages] without internet......something that no phone does right even today with the best internet
Motorola G5 Plus was one gem of a phone. Do a video on that, please. The chip in it and the camera technology were awesome and the stock android made the experience much better than other phones in same range
