Thank you so much for this video and I really find it useful I'm still not sure that I have original one because display doesn't work it plays original Nokia startup sound and everything but lock/unlock button doesn't work same as on fake
Hello. If the device turns on and the display is not showing anything then it can be a display or slide flex cable problem. The display is the same as the N95 8 GB if you want to change it but first disassemble the phone and check the fle cable if it's damaged. If it's on in one piece then try changing the display.
@@Retrophonesstuff 👋 thanks for your reply, yes the only thing that is lit up is the square button at the bottom. Do you think it would be expensive to fix?
@@kev008ify the display and the flex cable should cost maximum 20 euro each. But before you buy anything, first disassemble it to see if the flex cable is in one piece. If it's the flex cable that os broken and you need to buy anotherone, pay attention to what you buy, because there are some cables that are cheaper but don't have the front camera or it has a dummy camera. Search for one that has the camera so you don't need to solder anything.
I seen that fake one somewhere hahaha. Almost get that fake one. Its amazing fake But its pretty much Obivius if you using Nseries before. I really love n96, this phone is legendary multimedia phone with 16gb internal, big 2,8 inch screen, and very good camera (with firmware 30) . Mine still rocking anyway hahaha. Thanks for the content!
