Thanks for sharing. I’ve been really playing around with the IF & ST. I’ve been keeping my tone break around 9-10. 9 if I can without falsing on iron. I have almost completely switched over to pitch tones especially in heavy iron sites. It definitely helps to get through the iron. I normally run my IF at 2 sometimes 1 if I can get away with it & my ST at 3-5. I’m constantly in my test garden playing around with all the setting. I’ve learned a lot this past year or so with the Legend. It’s just comes down to test, test & then go out in real world & try to tweak it to that site. I use to always use Park multi 2, but here lately I’ve been having good luck with field mode in multi 2 & 1. I’m going on a couple years with the Legend & starting to figure it out. Been pulling some great relics & lots of silvers.
Pretty Much the settings i am currently using. Im a deus 2 guy but my deus 2 coil battery is malfunctioning and will not hold a charge but 2 hours so I been using my legend. I lower my first tone break to 7 and raise iron filter to 2 and stability at 3. Recovery 6-7 is really good for about any situation. I run in 4 tones though. I do not like pitch on the legend because pitch doesn’t really have a good round tone like 4 tones. You can really tell a round tone on the legend when in 2,4,or 6 tones
Excellent info and analysis on a popular machine. Regardless of any past issues in the evolution of the Legend there appears to be some significant improvements in its development. I’m not a Nokta owner but if I were so inclined I would not hesitate to buy a Legend given it’s improved performance and the results reported by noted authorities like yourself on the product. Olá, eu tenho uma questão que nunca entendi muito bem que é a questão de if e estabilidade,então colocar filtro de ferro em um valor menor que a estabilidade dá mais resultado de separacao que o contrário, colocar filtro de ferro em um valor acima do valor de estabilidade !?
The iron filter settings are confusing I wish they had made it 1-9 one setting....Iron filter 1-3 and stability settings 3-5 is what I found to work best....The lower the iron filter the better..
I have been using the legend since It came out. I beach hunt but not close enough to really test and play. I been struggling finding midtones on the beach when its low. Want to see your nickle test on the beach with the Legend. Thanks for the videos!
The Legend Detector is just as Jumpy VDI as the X-Terra Pro is and I didn't see any kind of solid numbers 15-55 ,But the Tone's are still in the High Pitch Tone's and the same exact Tone's for each Target And even if it was a 2 Tone pitch Tone's it's still the same exact Tone's for either the good Targets and the same exact thing for the Bad Target(High Pitch - Low Pitched Tone's) and that's also why I went to a Minelab X-TERRA Pro and the Simplex + that I had was traded for a Equinox 600 and Minelab Detector's are the Best Decision Tone's and They can tell me what the target is and not just have a 2 Tone pitch that really doesn't tell me what the target is but just to keep digging deeper and find out what the target is and going to be And was it a target that I was wanting for the bucket list and the Minelab Detector's Tone's are essential for my decision to decide if I want to Dig it up and then the jumpy VDI on the Legend Detector and it's Ghosts Signal's and if Calabash didn't tell us what the target is, I wouldn't of been digging up any of the Targets, based on the Tone's and yes it hit the targets clear but it's not knowing if it's hitting a Nail target and then calling it a good target and the Simplex + did that ALOT and I have dug up a ton of Iron Quarter Tone Targets that the Simplex said that they were great quarter Tone's and when I was using the Simplex ALL Metal Mode it was the same exact Tone's for everything that it detected and the X-Terra Pro and Minelab Detector's and I'm not stuck with what they think 🤔 That I need to Hear And I can change it up to suit me and the Notka Macro Product's you can't change it up that much and All I heard that he was using the Pitch Tone's and I didn't really hear any different Tone's between the targets and the half dollar is a totally different tone than the dime Tone but it was the same exact Tone's for everything that Calabash swung over using the Legend and he may have it just setup for a 2 Tone pitch but he doesn't say that it's a 2 Tone pitch program, just says pitch Tone's and pitch is different on the Minelab Detector's and then you can hear the sound of the EMI Problem's that the Notka Macro Detector's lineup can't handle it and I was a Fan of the Notka Macro brand and I have gotten a few people to buy the Simplex + and are still enjoying it but I haven't seen them lately and To show them the X-Terra Pro on one of their Permissions and that's how they went from using a Garrett Ace 400 to the Simplex + and I was finding targets that the Garrett wasn't even getting using the Simplex and I know that once I see them and I can show them the X-Terra Pro it will be ordered Soon and the Simplex will be going to the Closet and Collecting Dust...... EDIT: And I have since Traded the Simplex + for a Equinox 600 and It's a Work in progress for me and getting use to the lower VDI 🤔 but I do enjoy it....
If you're looking for solid numbers in heavy iron you're in trouble. He was also in park mode which is for shallow park hunting. The ID is better in field or beach oddly for deep targets.
@@MrBottlecapBill Hello 👋 Hello 👋 are you there and what heavy iron ??? In the Test Garden And what Did Calabash have that's making the Legend Jumpy VDI Show up ??? Nothing and Did I see that it's jumpy VDI or something else 🤔that your going to try and explain it out and I seen it jump and not a solid number as far as a Base Numbers and At least the X-Terra Pro is giving a Great number when it is Jumping around and usually doesn't go below the usual target numbers but the Legend Detector is all over the place 15-55 and I will have to rewatch the video of when he says that he is using 2 Tone and All I have heard that it's setup on the Pitch Tone's and nothing about 2 Tone and I didn't catch it if he was using it. But the legend detector is a chatting with the EMI and after using the Simplex + , I got tired 😩 of the Ghost Signals that the Simplex Was giving me and Now that I have the X-Terra Pro it's Two Different Detector World's and Thanks Again Minelab for a Great Detector and The X-Terra Pro..... and I was a Notka Macro Fan until they decided to not have any more updates for the Simplex and instead they have Killed the Simplex + and it's on the Discontinued Detector List... And the question is Why ?? It must have been a Problem for them and they have no idea how to fix it and instead, let's put out more Simplex Detectors and hopefully they think I will be getting a New Notka Macro Product's and give it away the Old Simplex + to someone else but instead of Notka Macro, However, I went with the Minelab X-Terra Pro and it's a Great Detector that tells me more about what the target is than the Simplex + and I Had to dig everything up and the X-Terra Pro I can Cherry Pick out the coin's and the few weeks of using the X-Terra Pro and the other Detectors from Year's past the X-Terra Pro is Way Above anything else that I have ever had in my Hands and also after listening to the Legend Detector and I'm Happy that I didn't get another Detector from Notka Macro because of the Duck Tone's Squawk and the EMI Problem's. and also I have NOW traded the Simplex + for a Equinox 600 and the Equinox is needing the New Updates but I'm in no hurry and I have the X-Terra Pro...... 😘 And I love it ❤️❤️.....
